I don't think we have space for another big name attacker in the squad now after Bernardo. There's certainly room for another striker, especially if Kelechi goes but they'll bee coming in as third choice, Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Bernardo and Sanchez all fighting for 3 positions in all likelihood is one too many, that's one of them not even makingg the squad each week nevermind the bench.

But that's irrelevant as i just can't see Arsenal allowing us or any other premier league team to sign him. it would be an admission of just how far they've fallen in the pecking order and would be catastrophic for them in terms of recruitment and getting back amongst the top 4. If he insists on leaving there's plenty of teams abroad that would jump at the chance to take him. I actually see him staying at Arsenal though.

I already figured that was stupid :p. But i can't see us go higher than 40 though

If we can convince him to join us and get him to force a move I reckon £45m will buy him. £50m max.

I will be surprised if any club will spend more than £50m on him with one year left.

Agreed. Gonna be very hard though, can see this last all summer

part of me resents him for when he used us to get a better contract at Barca when he was at Udinese and had no intention of joining us at the time. is a great player, but in a mediocre Arsenal side, he can walk around for 90 mins and still look world class in that side.

i'd say yes if we desperately needed him, but we dont so not following this with much vigor unlike the Mendy and Fabinho ones where we need those positions more importantly.

It's this summers inevitable saga.

He is the best available player on the market and could be obtained at a very reasonable price in relative regards to his ability.

The lad would be a £70m player had he had 2 or 3 years left in his contract.

well, Arsenal tried that gamble with Suarez which backfired spectacularly

How can anyone not want him?

A top player and an improvement on Sane and Sterling, I know we have big hopes for them but right now they are simply not on the level of Sanchez, G. Jesus could possibly be included in that group but its too early to tell. Sanchez and Aguero are roughly on the same level and buying Sanchez is a massive power move from us. When Pep said he we need to buy goals, I hope he was talking about Sanchez because by buying him we are buying goals, simple as that. One of the most consistent players in the league and like another poster said Arsenal are midtable without him this season. Easily worth 50m, you buy him, you buy the title. And these ideas of players not getting enough game time is ridiculous. Everyone will play due to Pep's Rotation and we'll finally have some game changing subs on the bench.

I won't be too reliant on B.Silva, Sterling, Sané to score that many goals though. Alexis Sanchez scored more goals plus four than those three combined.

We had a minimum period of 7 consecutive goals scored by 7 different players near the end of the season, if the team are scoring goals and winning then individual figures aren't as important.

Really what about Griezman?

I think Sanchez is a better player in his current form, he's also going to cost half the price and is already well setttled in the country and speaks the language etc.

Not a bad trade off for being 2 years older.

Simon Mullock claiming that Sanchez is still a target despite Bernardo Silva signing.

Simon Mullock has a bit of an in at City doesn't he?
