I know there are some in here who would rather cut their dick off than vote Labour. But come on! How can anyone vote Tory when they're led by this shower of shit.

Simple: Labour policies are wrong. And Jeremy Corbyn would set Britain back 50 years. Mass strikes, remember those? Huge unemployment, remember that? "Sick man of Europe"? Those were the days eh.

I know there are some in here who would rather cut their dick off than vote Tory. But come on! How can anyone vote Labour when they would be cast iron certain to return us to that garbage.

One revealing thing about this election is how much the polls have narrowed now that the TV media are legally obliged to give Jeremy Corbyn a fair platform. Just goes to show how biased they'd been up until that point.

Maybe. I think it's more to do with how fucking terrible Theresa May has been.

It's true that the media have been against Corbyn though. That's because they are not stupid and they know he would be absolutely toxic to the wealth and prosperity of this country.

The poll on here is now over 50% and only going one way... Remember that this is the same forum, and you'd have to assume mainly the same posters, that exactly mirrored the EU referendum result.

Seems that a vote for Brexit certainly doesn't equal a vote for Theresa May and her "team".

It is a relatively small sample, although approaching 500, so it will be very interesting how the national vote actually goes.

If this poll is anywhere near reality again, then Ric could make an absolute fortune!

Interesting times.

This is very much a left wing city and a left wing forum - very different to the election in my opinion.

Right..

There's the possibility of a Tory win followed by a leadership election to get rid of Maybot. Meaning we go into brexit with an unelected PM calling the shots.

In shirt. Public money wasted for no reason whatsoever.

She's run an absolutely diabolical campaign imo. Jeremy has been Jeremy, no better, no worse and put his hoof in it plenty. But she's been off the scale terrible. From arrogant and wrong policies in the manifesto, to the u-turn on care costs, to the pretending she hasn't u-turned when patently she has, the looking like a frightened rabbit in interviews and stuttering and fumbling over her words like a nervous 14 year old talking to the school assembly. Awful.

But fortunately as I say, she's started with a big lead and I doubt most people will have been taking as much notice as we have, so she'll probably (and hopefully) limp home.

Of course I would disagree regarding Corbyn, he's run an excellent campaign and it's a stonking manifesto, when he loses, he will, at the vey least, have moved the political debate to the left after forty years of drift to the right.

May limping over the line is not quite how it will pan out, she'll win but not by the margin she wanted, she'll actually be weaker post election, because she called this fiasco to strengthen her hand and she's managed by her sheer incompetence to weaken it. Post election she'll be more in thrall to the hard Brexit loons in her party than she was before.

May has had to sell herself to her Europhobic right and to UKIP to secure a mandate, that was never her intention, she wanted this election to secure her mandate, but that's not the way it's turning out.

She's politically fucked, she'll be gone in a year.

Happiest days of our lives.

Totally agree on this. In the debates they've had to give him a platform and it's been difficult for them to misrepresent him the way they normally would given all eyes have been on him and people have seen for themselves. People have seen he's nowhere near as bad as he's been painted to be.

Is that the same wealth and prosperity that has gone absolutely nowhere under 7 years of Tories? The idea that the Tories are good with the economy is the biggest con job going. They have failed completely and are now using Brexit as an excuse to fail even more.

Think it's a smart move from Corbyn to challenge her to a live debate once more today. She tried to hide behind the idea that she doesn't rate the format but it's become clear to all that it's something she just isn't comfortable with. It's starting look more and more cowardly of her. I'm sure she'll stick to her guns but it could serve Corbyn well to change his mind, make use of the platform and continue to connect with the public. Plus frankly sticking Emily Thornberry on there would be a disaster. If not Corbyn, I think Angela Rayner would have been a better stand in as she's been pretty decent this campaign.

Just watched Nicola Sturgeons interview with Andrew Neil and she's as bad as the politicians south of the border, what a state we're all in with these politicians and their smoke and mirrors.
