It really is a bit ridiculous how every player's price seemingly starts at 50m for us. Considering we're under FFP regulations as much as anybody else, do clubs still think we're fed by Sheikh Mansour?
We've signed 2 players for £43m & £33m - so how does every player's price seemingly starts at 50m for us?

I really want one of Sanchez or De Ligt from Ajax to be our new CB if we are unable to add Bonucci/Hernandez/Laporte/VVD.
I'm also not that worried about the Velez thing, the deal was done legally and they are just trying to argue in hopes of receiving some benefit or cash. Hope they get fucked by FIFA.

40-50 million is the going rate for top tier talent or high performers in the current market
And, believe it or not, at least one average player has gone for over £100m. It does grate and that sort of deal does distort the market but we can only do our best to compete.

At a much worse exchange rate, £30m would have been €46m or so then.the rags were paying £30m for players 15 fucking years ago.

There are some itks here who make effort to give us the scoop and sometimes it can be slightly off depending on how many times it has to circle to get us .
