We could use Tosin Adarabioyo (providing he signed a new deal) as the 4th centre back option. However for that to work we would have to give more game time to the younger player.

Definitely an option, easier to give younger players a chance once we have a solid team.

Van Dijk would be an absolutely brilliant signing. Tall, strong, powerful, good on the ball, good technically, can pass a football, has great positional awareness. Stones and Otamendi can't play together. One is too short, another is weak physically. It's either Kompany and Stones or Kompany and Otamendi. However, there is a massive possibility that Vinny won't last longer than 10 games in a row, therefore, it would be either Van Dijk and Stones or Van Dijk and Otamendi. If all three are fit, play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2.

I can't really see any major flaws in his game. Fuck the price tag. Why don't spend the money if you have some.

If we don't get Van Dijk, once Vinny gets injured and Stones continuous making silly mistakes this place will go mad.

Maybe and you are probably right. I would still rather free up the squad place and wages for someone a little less keen on lunging in. Wouldn't mind another CB signing because we cannot gamble on Kompany remaining fit. But yea, I guess he will be staying.

It could just come down to numbers if we buy a cb keep Otamendi and buy a cm along with others we are linked to by my reckoning it puts us on 18 non homegrown. So either Otamendi or Kolarov go or we don't buy non homegrown for centre mid. Can't see Kolarov going because he is the only left back cover we have.

Until such time he has done it in Blue, then we are dependent on him transferring his game to us. There are many before him and no doubt many who follow who were brilliant at one club and not able to replicate.

İ want this signing very much. I live in Utrecht and here in Netherlands almost every football fan dislike City and had sympathy to United. But Van Dijk is considered as next big player here. Hope Van Dijk will wear Man City shirt.

İ want this signing very much. I live in Utrecht and here in Netherlands almost every football fan dislike City and had sympathy to United. But Van Dijk is considered as next big player here. Hope Van Dijk will wear Man City shirt.

I would keep Otamendi. Top 5 CB defender in Europes top league last I checked.

Personally I would cut losses with Stones, good player but not as imposing as needed. Then again he did play in front of Bravo, and between the two in the absence of Kompany there's just no conviction and order.
