It's Quiet - a new dawn

I would imagine ederson will be announced today

It would make sense. I assume Benfica wouldn't have announced the sale if they weren't sure the Premier League would OK the third party stuff, so I'm not entirely sure what we're waiting for.

Mendy should be happening this weekend if reports are to be believed as the France squad have the weekend off.

A man after my own heart. She is one sexy woman
Indeed she is, and classy. I am not ashamed to say she is the object of my celebrity lust. I can't even watch A Constant Gardener without being filled with confusing, deep-seeded emotions.

Much like @SWP's back experience with moldy food and the forum's infatuation with this will-he-won't-he Sanchez saga...

Be surprised if Ederson is announced today 3rd party takes ages to sort out with the premier be next week when its done I reckon.

I very much expect Ederson to be announced today.
Mendy by next Friday.

Then I think it will be 3 or 4 weeks till the next one. Maybe even longer. Early July. Walker, Sanchez, VVD - they wont be easy deals.

You've missed several hundred words in this post but I've managed to translate into the following simplified equation for readers:

(Ederson + 3rd party Ownership) * PL = Waspish Surprise/Time

It's sorted if we are waiting for anything it's just ratification.I assume FA waiting for confirmation from the 3rd parties they no longer have a claim on him.

You bring everything forward for a player like Mbappe, if there is the slightest possibility he would entertain us this summer.

Do all our business this summer and sit back and watch all the foaming clowns in 12 months time playing catch up.

Football waits for no team, as we have found to our cost since 2012.

If that means spending £200m just on Mbappe, Sanchez and VVD, then do it.

Especially so, if, as I suspect, our display of intent so early this summer has provided a shady set of back-channelling which would see goalposts again moved and us copping a transfer ban.

They couldn't ban us because we were too rich, but they don't need a second invitation to hamstring us.

You're going to set everyone off with that one!

Ratification doesn't happen until 10th June with all our signings, so it's not that.

With the 2016/17 Premier League finished, the summer transfer window is now open, with clubs able to announce deals that will, in the case of those from outside England, be ratified from 10 June, 2017.

Spending £200m on those 3 plus Ederson, Walker, Mendy and Silva would see us spend around £360m. Still think we'll need another midfielder if there's a transfer ban looming Yaya will need to be replaced in advance.

We seem to be close to recouping £32m on Unal and Kelechi. I wonder what the sales of Bony, Hart, Mangala, Nasri and maybe Fernando will bring in.

I suspect it is. Benfica are confident that all of their responsibilities to third parties are complete. The FA's concern is that all of the paperwork is such that those third parties no longer have any claim to Ederson.

Ratification of overseas deals doesn't happen until June 10th, so Bernardo Silva has not been ratified yet, and yet we announced him. Ergo ratification is not the issue.

Roughly £50m based on their wages.

Seems reading this, we've essentially thrown caution to the wind with Mbappe and are in on him regardless of what Sergio plans, or whether we get Sanchez, this summer. That seem right tolm? Crazy stuff indeed.

Enjoy yourself!
