West Ham interested in Iheanacho

To be honest, as long as there is a buyback clause I'd be ok with Iheanacho leaving. West Ham would be a good place for him to go, develop, play and hone his skills.

why on earth would west ham agree to a buy back clause, so they buy for 20mill keep him for 2 years he scores them 30+ goals and we say think we will have him back for 20mill even though he is worth 40 now, dont think so.

Young players progress by playing regular games - e.g. Lukaku, Kane etc.

I do not think we have seen the best of him yet and I would have been interested to see him play as a 10 but too much competition there at City.

If we could loan him to a decent team (not one who which is obviously going to struggle all season) which would make him their main striker that would be great but it is unlikely to happen with a Premier League team. West Ham could be a good move for him and he should get plenty of game time.

I would reluctantly sell the lad with a buy back clause.

Don't know why some people seem to think that he is a ten. The weakest part of his game is his first touch and he is not that quick. The objective surely
is to feed him the ball in dangerous positions.

People say that he's a #10 because that's the position he plays for his country at all age groups including a few of his caps with the senior team.

The other deal is that his best position isn't even being a striker, it's being a second striker.

Because the buyback clause would be for a much higher value than they are paying

Not sure you've understood buy-back clauses. However, if they don't like it they can fcuk off. We're under no great pressure to sell.

Don't care about a buy back clause he will never be good enough at the very top level

Saw a story somewhere a couple of days ago that Pep wanted to keep him. Is there any more on this or has the West Ham talk gathered strength?

He's football mad. He should be playing. I'd welcome him back playing for another side. No doubt he'll score a bloody hatrick against us.

Apparently his agent confirmed that talks with West Ham are ongoing and, barring any hiccups, should be a West Ham player for the new season

Still remember that debut on the American tour...I think he etched out a nice little niche in our lore. I've always been partial to west ham. I feel like that's a good fit for him and time to move on.

Sucks but what can we do?

Think we have dropped a bollock with him. He deserved far more of a crack this season. Plenty of games where he could have been brought on. Just don't think he has the characteristics Pep looks for. To let him go at this stage is crazy though.

Totally different players, but does remind me a little bit of Lukaku going to Everton. Good move for Nacho but not so sure it's great for us. He's a great 3rd strike option and would get plenty of opportunities. Sad how quickly people on here have written him off. Pep has destroyed his confidence for me. Loads of opportunities to use him and get him scoring goals yet he wasted everyone's time bringing fucking Navas on. We seemingly don't persevere with young players unless we have spent 40m on them.

Great player for 5th - 10th place team. Not quite sharp enough for top 4 or Europes Elite. Loved watching him but can also understand why he's not considered good enough to push Sergio and Gabriel for a place in the team. Good luck lad, I'm sure you'll have a cracking career.

£20 million is still way too cheap for him when you consider what that would buy you elsewhere.
