Quite definitely a rogue poll considering the other 5 showed a Tory lead between 4% and 12% (average Tory Lead including the Survation Poll = 7.1%)
Opinium (6% Tory lead) for the Observer shows topline figures of CON 43%(-2), LAB 37%(+2), LDEM 6%(-1), UKIP 5%(nc).
ComRes (12% Tory lead) for the Sunday Mirror and Independent has topline figures of CON 47%(+1), LAB 35(+1), LDEM 8%(nc), UKIP 4%(nc).
CM‘s (11% Tory lead) poll for the Sun on Sunday has topline figures of CON 45%(nc), LAB 34%(+1), LDEM 9%(+1), UKIP 5%(nc). Changes are from the ICM poll for the Guardian at the start of the week.
YouGov (4% Tory Lead) in the Sunday Times has topline figures of CON 42%, LAB 38%, LDEM 9%, UKIP 4%. Fieldwork was Thursday to Friday
ORB (9% Tory lead) for the Sunday Telegraph have figures of CON 45%(+1), LAB 36%(-2), LDEM 8%(+1), UKIP 4%(-1). Fieldwork was Wed-Thurs with changes from a week ago.
Survation (1% Tory lead) for the Mail on Sunday has topline figures of CON 40%(-6), LAB 39%(+5), LDEM 8%(nc), UKIP 5%(+2). Fieldwork was conducted wholly this morning, and changes are from Survations previous online poll in the Mail on Sunday.

The risk of renewed conflict in the Balkans may be real but I can't quite see the Russians wanting to annexe countries where they've used nuclear weapons. If that happens I definitely don't want a British prime minister threatening to use Trident to teach Russia a lesson. It's from the Kenny Everett school of Tory diplomacy. (Actually some of those who cheered his "let's bomb Russia" nonsense are probably Tory MPs now...)

I don't really know what these attacks mean for the election. Not like we have a Le Pen or anyone like that or UKIP that would get near power. Is it too easy to presume they are targeting now because of election campaign?

Just t confirm Strong and Stable Theresa was Home Secretary from 2010 -2016 whereupon she became PM. On her watch Police numbers slashed all to save money - sorry increase our safety. The first duty of a Government it protect its citizens from harm - May and the Tories are an epic fail !!!!

of course they fucking are - right near MI6 in Central London - flicking the vee's in Mays and Rudds face showing how inadequate their provisions to defend UK citizens have been

Your problems go deeper than May, you need a one nation Tory, but the party is in the grip of its neoliberal wing. Lots of shits and giggles I'm sure, but hard Brexit, a Scots bye, bye referendum, stagnant growth, stagnant wages, inflation, unemployment, are any of the tailwinds looking good? And where's your white knight to unify the country behind a red, white and blue Brexit? Johnson? Davis? Fox? Duncan Smith? (that really would be back to the future)

Might be a good time to be in opposition.
 
News speculating May is keeping Corbyn informed and already talking about suspending campaigning. Obviously they can't help the timing of these things but it's convenient for her to suggest that in the week leading up to election day.

Think in terms of election campaigning we should follow the "they won't stop us going about our daily lives" mantra

Corbyn should tell her to fuck off and defend her record as Home Sec and PM up until Thursday - she's cut the Police numbers and moved anti-terror Policing to online surveillance - cheaper obviously - but don't let her off the hook now

Yeah she did that because she's got a corrupt deal going where any money saved on policing gets channelled into her personal Swiss bank account.

Or could it be because the Tories have had to balance public spending, with finite amounts of money to go around and needing to keep funding the NHS and other services? Just putting it out there, I know it sounds daft. Obviously we all know she's corrupt and got billions in an offshore account really.

You lot really need to give yourself a good slap and wake up to reality.

Errr no.............. you can spin my point how you like matey but at no point did I suggest that somehow what has happened was to benefit May financially - maybe you know something I don't?

Are you denying that Police numbers are down 20k and Rudd justified this the other night by saying they had moved to combating terror via cyber crime. The balancing public spending argument is spurious - debt has spiralled under this Govt - the date to clear austerity keeps being put back - the "efficiency savings" are all part of a doctrinal narrative to cut "big government" which the Tories see as bad. The reality is radicalisation takes place in communities which are now bereft of community Police officers to garner intelligence on the ground.

no but I do think we need to rethink our defence strategy. Do you think empty aircraft carriers - nuclear subs and Trident are deterring terrorists who are operating locally in vulnerable target rich environments which are not defended by any f the above. Why is so much of our defence spending tied up in that shit?
