We can't sign Semedo + Alves without having issues with our foreign player quota making the signing of one of Mendy or Sanchez impossible. On that basis alone I think the story is bollocks. Walker + Bertrand will both be City players this summer.

You are right, I did miss it. Although I understand there were many poor performances including Stones. But if he can't play CM he did look OK at RB in the cup semi final.

Obviously the only reason I am discussing this is the home grown rule. Walker seems seriously overpriced.

One of the main reasons we had only a watching brief interest on Van Dijk/another central defender is because the club feels they might need the budget for Mbappe if we do get the nod.

I feel we would be daft not to get involved considering the lads undoubted talent so i would presume its up to him and his family if its worth the risk moving at such an early stage in his career it will certainly be interesting to see how this all pans out.

A very unfair hypothetical, as I don't know your circumstances and would never encourage anybody to bet on transfers.

I certainly don't, and I've missed out on some potential big payouts and losses.

I remain confident Sanchez will see it through with us.

Said it before, but of all the clubs IMO we are best placed to agree a deal that leaves him at Monaco for another season. Only guessing but think that could be beneficial to Monaco obviously but also Mbappe himself another year as first choice coming up to a world cup and another year to develop in familiar surroundings. Similar to the Jesus deal.
