Out of interest, what is your definition of World Class, there are so many views on this and without definition this is meaningless

Players such as Alex Sandro, Jordi Alba, David Alaba, Dani Caravjal, Phillip Lahm (if he's still going), Marcelo and Felipe Luis are world class full backs in my opinion. But yes as suggested - fairly unobtainable.

If Walker doesn't work out, we should go for that West Ham right-back. Very experienced, willing to live in Manchester, hard as nails. Reckon we could get him for about 10-15 million.

Things were nearly done today, big progress and then Levy literally moved the goalposts a couple of hours ago demanding a lot, lot more.

I'd tell him to fuck off and keep an unhappy player on his books who doesn't get along with the manager, his value will only depreciate.

Time for City to take control, go and buy a full back from Europe.

What's his end game? Just playing chicken hoping we'll eventually fall for one of his inflated prices?

I think it would be ideal to get this done before the 17th... don't see it happening though. As long as he comes I'll be happy.

Let them think we're absolutely desperate, agree a deal and then walk away at the very last minute.

A cnut like levy will have it coming to him in spades,he's a businessman after all but seemingly a cnutish one karma won't be far from this prick..

To be fair he's only like that because Tottenham are a selling club, they won't progress until that changes.

Can't wait for the day one of their stars gets pissed off with the comparatively poor wages he pays and decides to run down his contract.

Alderweireld. It's already happening.

And if we're successful with Walker in the team you can bet more will follow. Eriksen, Alli, Rose - they're all young enough to be ambitious and wonder why they're earning half what they should and still not winning anything.

We are looking for possibly 6 more players, if news gets out we caved in for an extra 10 for Walker it could cost us another 60 mill or more. The trick is to agree prices with the clubs without word getting out of a cave in on price here and there.
Mendy is more or less done so paying Walker 50m isn't that big of a deal. I don't see 5 more players coming through like you say, maybe another fullback, cb and sanchez and that's about it.

Yeah good points, would love it for this to happen, levy paying wages of 10 years ago or more..hope it does bite him the shitehawk..

Levy would rather pay an unhappy and unwanted players wages for a season than sell on the cheap.

Suspect we'll fold and pay what they want. You can see why clubs try it on with us. We have that reputation and that'll stay the same until we walk away from a few big deals.
