Wouldn't go as far as calling them world class,but when you put it as possibly less for both than what the rags paid for lukaku then it looks very good business..
 
Mendy has the potential to be world class but he's still only 22 and has some flaws to iron out of his game. I hope people realise this cos he will make a few mistakes this season and can't be arsed with the usual lot spitting their dummys out cos he isn't 100% perfect every single game.
 
Could it be that, by next week, we will have Mendy, Bertrand, and Walker all wrapped up for about £120m? Not bad, I say. Much stronger at the back. Now for Mbappe......

I agree,i'm uncomfortable how blues throw our kids under the bus when it's a game of patience and looking to the future when they are more consistent

TBH assuming these two come in I am just happy to have players who actually play fullback normally playing fullback. I'll worry about how perfect/flawed they are some other time. Navas and Fern did okay but it really never should have come to that.

Yeah it's going to be amazing having proper full backs who can actually run. Walker and Mendy are as fast and as strong as they come. Exciting times.

Sky know sod all about anything. As I said just now, their "transfer" coverage (usually prefaced with the words 'Sky Sports understands that.....') this summer has plumbed depths that would have embarrassed the Daily Star in terms of its gratuitous speculation. Personally I'd be very surprised if City were prepared to stump up £50m for Mendy, but are allegedly refusing to pay that self-same inflated amount for Walker, who has the added bonus of being British
