Had a drive past the academy. Couple of scallys on bikes outside the health centre. Couple of people with security at the players entrance. Other than that all quiet.

If we land Sanchez, we'll have bought as many players from the Top 6 as the other 5 combined. And apart from RVP going to United, none of the others have bought players the other clubs have wanted to hold onto, it's all players who have fallen out of favour.

Conversely I think only Clichy was the only player we bought who the selling club didn't try to keep - and frankly that was poor judgement because Clichy at his worst is still better than Gibbs.

I don't know what this means - do the others go for players at rival clubs or are they deemed poor value? Is this a sign we're capable of bullying the rest of the top 6, or just willing to pay the asking price?

You could add Tevez to the list as we effectively took him from the rags.

3 signings in the bag. After all the hysterics, not bad considering only a quarter way through the window.

In my mind we are Mendy and Sanchez away from securing the title.

A further CB and CM from having a real shot at the Champions League.

God with all these signings our team is gonna be immense. If Kompany stays fit... Jesus... Thing someone said earlier about groin injuries... Might have one of my own

I think even if we dont get sachez but secure mendy, that's enough to easily win the title.
Wit mendy we will have the best squad in the league by far. We also have the best manager by far.
 
Can't help but think we need to sign backups at both fullback positions. I'm not confident in Dinho as backup RB due to the fact that he'll certainly be needed at DM and can't be using his energy when Walker needs to be rotated around. I like that we're after Bertrand as well, but I'll feel much more confident knowing we have a true RB to fill in in case Walker needs resting or gets injured.
