Not arsed at all. Always viewed this as a bonus transfer. Keeper, full backs, centre back should be the priority this window.

I think this is a real good Miss for us. It weakens Arsenal and we aren't spunking 50 million on a bloke who is only going to start getting worse over the next few years.

Can't go into the new season with only Jesus and Aguero. We need a third player that is able to score plenty of goals and cut through stubborn defensive lines. Mbappe would be perfect, but it would probably take an enormous (circa £150m) fee just to persuade Monaco to sell. Even then, the player would have to choose to join us over Real Madrid and Barcelona. Ousmane Dembele would be easier to obtain and would cost significantly less, but he is far from clinical in his finishing.

excited to see what the alternative is, if there is any. What a comically long thread for nowt

It's quite a feat. I am with a few on here that while Sanchez would have been a potentially game changing signing for some reason was never that excited about him coming, so therefore am not disappointed. I hope all those who thought him nailed on can get over it quickly.

Yeah we haven't needed him as we're stacked in forward positions (Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, B. Silva etc). And better for him to weaken Arsenal by going abroad than go to a league rival.

Always amusing when a thread is massive and ends in nothing. Seems like Sanchez has pissed on our chips

We will score 20 more goals just by having attacking fullbacks, minimum. Bernardo Silva also brings goals, along with more chances created, I've honestly never at any point seen the point of Sanchez unless we have some huge injury crises. We're struggling to fit all the attackers in as it is
I don't think we had a problem last season with creating chances,we had a huge problem converting them though. We may be fine if both players stay fit,if not we will struggle in certain games.

I think Arsenal eventually would have caved and sold him to us but they will sell in an instant now to PSG and Sanchez would rather go there then sit around at Arsenal trying to get them to sell him to us.

That's the way I see it. Arsenal were desperate not to sell him to us or any other PL club and were probably hoping all along that a foreign club would come knocking. After Bayern dropped out, it seemed we had a free run at him and it was just a case of trying to persuade Arsenal to sell but PSG have come in and blind-sided us.

The daft thing is, Arsenal fans will probably be openly celebrating him going to PSG but the fact is they're still losing their best player and that in itself is not something to celebrate.

Silva
B silva
Sane
Sterling
Kdb
Jesus
Aguero.

Would have loved him but dont really need him. Would much rather spend the money on a top class cb and a left back (besides mend

All those players cover a total of 5 positions on the pitch, that's 7 players for 5 spots, one injury/suspension etc and we can't even fill the bench, we absolutely need another top class signing in the attacking positions.
