They were both coaches on a series of the ultimate fighter (TUF 9??) In which the teams were U.S vs UK,I wont tell you who wins as the series is well worth a watch, but Bisping got under his skin all season, some bits he was a dick but mostly English style piss taking.
Hendo, like the take himself far too seriously prick he is, took it all rather poorly and showed his true shit house colours when he knocked Bisping cold and then still followed up with another diving right hand, yeah Bisping got what was coming to him, but that follow up was well not needed and I'm sure he's done it again since but my memory is shit, Lombard perhaps?

Gotcha, yeah i saw a quick edit and it made Bisping look like a right cock, the tone of the clip with the music and editing made it seem super serious. I saw he went past one of em and chucked a towel or summat in an oppo's face, thats banter tbf, if he thought you were a **** i am sure he would not be shy about saying it.

See i need to watch all this to get a full grasp, i get you about the yanks and their seriousness, worse than the stereotype of a German imo and i aint kidding. Black humour especially goes over a lot of their heads. Found myself having to explain a few jokes to show i was not in fact a heartless twat xD

I don't know how far back you can go in watching the UFC. I remember watching around the 3rd of 4th bout back then periodically remembering it was on. I seem to remember it being on some sort of 'Man and Car' channel way back when, about 10/ 11pm! I was in my early 20's and busy with being distracted by naked women in my gaff!

Anyway, the point is seeing the difference in the sport, then and now. Think McCarthy's been reffing since the first one, actually. Can't remember! All of them sted heads and Royce Gracie chewing them all up!

Get some education on it, you will be amazed at the difference in level, we're at now!

I remember UFC 1 getting released in scene haha, fuck me i had hair then :-( I archived a few sites with 1-110 and watched a bit of one of the first ones. This geordie bald fella was just grinding his elbow into another fells face for 3 rounds, it was fucking brutal.

Cormier could easily have retired with one or two loses when it's all said and done and he doesn't even stand a chance vs jones. That's how insanely good JJ is. It's incredible how talented both are and it's seriously mind boggling how many levels ahead Jones is.

Near perfection? Seriously....

Disagree, he ain't better than him my that much.... just a bit. DC was 2-0 up in that fight until he got caught by that leg kick. You have to admit Jones has a huge advantage given his height and reach compared to DC.

I couldn't disagree more. Jones was fighting an extremely conservative fight and he knew that DC never had much of a chance so he played it safe the whole time (as he always does and rightly so). His attributes are insane and he maximizes them perfectly. He's the goat IMO and it's not even close.

Great post. Really I think that's basically right according to almost everyone. Rationally I think you'd have to say DJ, AS, and JJ are extremely close but for me JJ blows them out of the water. Harsh on Mighty Mouse but I can't take flyweights seriously in GOAT contention. I could take heat for that and I accept it but that's just me.

If it wasn't for that dope Steve Mazzagoti JJ would be undefeated. His 'loss' was due to him destroying matt hamill on top with illegal elbows.

JJ hasn't had a close fight...AT ALL!! outside of Gustaffson!!! It's insane!!!!! Personally I thought AK won that fight but 23 out of 24 fights that were never even a threat is crazy.

Agree with Jones being conservative with Cormier. Rightly so after 2 and a years out! What do people expect?

I'm glad he gave DC love. Finally becoming a fighter and leaving the asshole behind.

I want DC to enjoy competing. He did way better than I expected! Hope he doesn't get into a depression again.

Finally, Jimi Manuwa is a fraud fighter. Never seen him ever use head movement, just thinks he's a tank.

Its a reality that Jon Jones is just that fucking good. Everyone talks about his physical gifts, but how many tall fighters like that can beat their opponent on the inside? And at times he was beating DC on the inside, and thats DC's shit. I don't like the guy, in fact he comes across as a raging dickhead, but he's fucking brilliant when it comes to fighting.

But, i personally thought Gus beat him in the first fight. No fighter has taken JJ down like Gus has, i think Gus is very underrated in the takedowns and his movement is excellent, that's the fight that needs to happen. While i understand why he wants to fight Brock, he's not fought for so long and thats the money fight that makes up for all the loss of income, it's not the fight that should happen. If he wants a superfight, lets see him fight Werdum or my personal fave would be Overeem.

One or two points.

Was never a fan of Jones' behaviour earlier on. He hated press interviews, he had money and fame way too early, but that guy has genuinely changed. He would never have given DC any love before, but he will now. He still has the ultimate belief he is the G.O.A.T. and, right now if that's what keeps his edge, he can believe it until someone is brave enough to snatch that aura from him. But, as a person, he does seem more humble.

The other point is Jones is adding Jiu Jitsu to his game and he has fought without that complete knowledge before.

He may, genuinely, become an undefeated fighter in his time.

We shall see...
