Brighton (A) - Post Match Thread.

Match day thread numpties should hang their heads in shame. Slagging off Sergio and Pep. Disgraceful.
Look at both the candlepool and Chelski results.
This is a hard league to win and performances like today is how you win it.
A great start blues, even better to come
This is a typical bluemoon post. Discussing Sergio's finishing doesn't make somebody a numpty. Up until his goal he had missed two good chances and missed them badly. Bad finishing was our Achilles heel last season and up until the 70th minute, it looked like it was a problem again. People aren't debating his goal record or complaining about that, they're complaining about how many chances he and other players miss. Given its such a huge problem, it's fair game to discuss it. Typical blue moon to act like the problems don't exist just because we won.

It was a good performance. But against better sides, we need to be more clinical. We know this. It was the same last season. We can't 'be relying on getting 4 or 5 chances on a plate against better sides.

Still lacklustre around the box, lovely to watch for a bit but it all got samey.

Plusses .. Walker. Looked good. Silva and KDB. Class as usual. Clean sheet. Kompany full match.

Negatives...Danilo left back/ wing back is not the answer.

Overall 6/10. Good start, something to build on. Not getting too carried away as Brighton had nothing to disturb us.
6/10?

Christ we have some mard arses on here Bob.

Correct. A vocal minority (?) booing every City player for no reason. Small time.
Indeed,a bit more respect wouldnt have gone a miss when you consider they are finally getting to watch some of the worlds best talent in their backyard. They should embrace it as they wont be witnessing such next season.

Let's talk about his cool finish then, or his great ball to Jesus that should have resulted in a goal or his pressing and tenacity to break through the Brighton defence which led to our second goal.
It's a two sided coin the Aguero debate and the long and short of it is we picked up 3 points because of his direct involvement. Strikers miss chances, always have and always will.
