Glad this is a friendly, might finally sink in that having loads of possession isn't how you win a football match.

Sane is not positionally disciplined enough to play as a LB in this current formation and also not tactically aware enough to play as one of the two strikers. His best use n this formation is if the team is chasing a game they have all the possession and need penetrative runs in behind to create chances as a wing back but currently he's probably a third choice lb and 4th choice striker in the current formation.

Diaz and Foden are talented young players but the best they can hope for this season will be minutes in the FA or League Cups. Diiaz especially shows little to no awareness when he's on the ball/ dribbling. A very head down type player and he needs to eradicate that out of his game quickly or h=will be left behind. All in all a poor first half but its a pre season game and only a couple of these players would be considered first team material so nothing to be too worried about

Fuck me do their players want to chill out? It's a bloody friendly.
Theyre using this game as a warm up for Atletico, theyre up for it
Clearly this game is to benefit help with Gironas fitness rather than ours. Probably not worth worrying about but sometimes games like this affect confidence etc especially of the young lads and maybe even Bernardo who will want to have a positive first outing as a city player. I still think as a squad we lack power/physicality in the centre of the park.
This fella, they're playing their first game in La Liga this week at home to Atletico Madrid.
