two average games actually and he wasn't great in pre season? I`ve only benched him for this game as bernardo is the future and was great when he came on against everton? I always thought this season would see merlin only playing the more high profile games though and there is no doubt that bernardo is good enough to start.
 
Bournemouth is maybe too early for Mendy to play a full game and Danilo is needed on the right, so expect we will stick with 3 at the back one more game unless we play Fern as a fullback.

Once everyone is up and running would like to see us line up something like this; Midfield and Forwards can all interchange positions with Aguero as the main man with Jesus / Sterling playing off him.

The whole point of building a powerful and top quality squad is when a player has an average run of games (IE all pre season, and the opening 2 games), they don't just sit comfy in their position based on who they are and how world class they have/have not been in the past
He should IN MY OPINION rightly sit out saturday and Bernardo should take his place
That is NOT me saying he is an inferior footballer, nor is it me saying he has not been top class for the club. It is merely me saying Bernardo deserves to start in a position a certain player is not performing in

We have won naff all significant for 4 years now and its not a time for sentiment. Simple

We have not faired well the last few Monday night games, if my memory serves me right. I wait all weekend plus a days work for the match,
with much anticipation. Only to have the same old conversation with my lad, after the game. You know the one, disappointment etc.
 
How about Delph at LB ?. Trained today.........I think Mendy will be saved for later games.
 
Hoping for Ederson, Danilo, Kompany, Otamendi, Mendy, Yaya, Bernardo, DeBruyne, Sane, Sterling and Aguero.

Fuckin he'll. Sorry boss lol. Wasn't on form in pre season? What are you on about? He was injured for most of it? So he's been short of match practice compared to the others. He should be about up to scratch now after 2 games. But hey what do I know? Maybe we should all bow down to your superior management skills and set him back two weeks by dropping him.

Thankfully we have better options this season. Danilo and Mendy at fullback I suppose. I'm hoping to see Bernardo get a run of matches soon, and think YaYa is due also. It's been a bit clumsy up front so far, would be nice to get an early one Saturday. Here's to hoping
 
I reckon we'll be playing a 4-1-4-1 formation.
Don't know who pep will drop. Jesus or Sergio.
Fernandinho will be slotted into left back,
Yaya in front of back 4.
Sterling , Sane and with a Silva and keV.
Stones or kompany rested.
 
Yaya in for Fern, B Silva in for D Silva. Danilo RB. Jesus benched for Sterling and Sane back to wing.
