Usually press always a couple of weeks behind what has happened. IMO Sanchez is done other than medical and signing. All other misfits Mangala etc will be shipped out before window closes, squad will be compact with Pep players only, up to him then to deliver the goods. As for JFE if he is signed nowt I can do about it, but hope he goes somewhere else. Just guesswork obviously.
Rammy welcome back North my Mate !!!

Blues. Please take a coffee break. This thread is moving at breakneck speed I can't catch up! Only on 1931 and speed reading but still falling behind. Waiting to read where it's all bollox!

The Sterling thing is not happening but great that it is out there.

Whether it is deliberate or not it is one of the oldest tricks in the book when giving people bad news.

Now Arsenal fans will be thinking is it better to have Sterling or just cash, it's changed the question from should they sell Sanchez to which deal is better.

We all know swap deals almost never happen, certainly not on high profile players and so late in the day.

Take the money buy Draxler or Lemar and the Arsenal fans can go on about how much better that player is then Sterling and how they got a good deal.

We can just smile knowing we have taken the best player they have off them.

So if Arsenal are now talking terms to City, does that mean Sanchez to City for cash is probable? I think they must by now have realised that they have to sell sanchez. The sooner the bite the bullet the better. It wasn't evident until Sunday how Sanchez and the squad were going to react, but they looked like their hearts were not in it.

If I were them I'd get Renato Sanches from Bayern. Even at this late stage there must be deals they can do. City signed Robinho after all on deadline day.

A few reporters Simon Mullock, Richard Jolly and Sam Lee suggesting the Sterling swap talk is real, but came from Arsenal, and City want to do straight cash

Wenger was on record last week saying Lamer was not possible due to the fact Monaco will not sell after selling Mbappe (and others). Now I see Liverpool are odds on to sign him. Wenger is just not cut out for modern football...

I don't think they can get Lemar. Liverpool are now bidding and Monaco turned down some massive bids. £60m plus Origi on loan. If they get Draxler then that would be a great deal for them. Appears unlikely to me. If he was available, I think he'd go to a club in the Champions League

It is all about here and now though. Sanchez will be better in the next three years than Sterling will be. If we had financial difficulties it would be a bad decision but money isn't an issue for us at the moment. Maybe a year long loan will be a good compromise but if we do get Sanchez I think we have too many players in the same position.
A year loan? Oh sure, then he just slots in next season as if it never happened? What in the world are you smoking?

Honestly, why would any player acquiesce to go to a dumpster fire of a team like the Gooners right now? Swap deals are vanishingly rare, but almost non-existent from a big side challenging for the title to one destined for mid-table mediocrity and management instability.

Nah mate, don't you know Arsenal have Danny Welbeck? They have no need for these Sanchez's.

Just seen Delph for Sanchez with a cash adjustment....... are we getting 20m and Sanchez or more :)

Delph and a promise to pay his medical bills for Sanchez. Unsure if that's financially an equal swap.

Anyone, be it old, young or dumb, who rates alexis over sterling need seriously to reconsider their thoughts and brain cells. SHAMBLES!
Sanchez is clearly a much better player than Sterling.

Now.

Sterling still has time to get to that level though and I'd rather keep him and get him there than have a few years off Sanchez

Are Arsenal honestly going to keep an unhappy player at their club for the rest of the season, and let him go for free next summer? I can't see anything other than Sanchez moving to us in the next couple of days.
