We had some of Jonny's largesse a few seasons back. Two pens against Villa, one of which was awarded on the say so of the lino who thought that the ball, a good foot away from the Villan, had been handled. Since then, Jonny has stayed well within the FArcePiGMOL hymn sheet!

Which games has he scewed us over? Just had a brief look at our record, from my count with him as ref it appears we have won 11 drawn 2 lost 1 of the games he has officiated.

It's not just the games won that should be considered. It's those stats that don't tell us where and when he didn't issue a card to an opponent, issued one to us, not awarded a free kick when there was a clear foul. We might not have dropped points but it's the suspensions et al that mount up or don't mount up that can change a season. No stats to show that Player X wasn't available for a more crucial match than the one Jonny reffed. Or a competitor's Player Y should be missing the next match but goes and scores the winner. He's a placeman. The results stats don't tell the whole story.

Ok so what stats do you have from those games to suggest he is in PIGMOLS pocket?

What free kick did he give which proves bias or placement he made?

I'm not one to collect these things or tick them off inside the proggy! As I see the name Moss, Oliver, Dean, Pawson, MadMan, Friend, or Jones appear as the Whistling Wanker my heart sinks in the same way that it does when David Silva is not starting. My memory banks churn over with the former and I seem to recall instances . . . . . . . . Perhaps I suffer from 'false memory syndrome'?

Is there a ref who is independent of PiGMOL? Is there a maverick in the ranks of the Whistling Wankers who quite unselfishly, without ne'er a thought of not getting the Cup Final gig, would slavishly whistle his way through a game without fear or favour and apply the Laws of the Game as we can read them. Or am I getting mixed up with placement and uselessness? I wonder which of those characteristics would define Mike Dean's interpretation re the scything of GJ in the Bournemouth match. No free kick, let alone a card for probably the worse foul of the weekend!

Fair enough. I thought when accusing someone of cheating there might be evidence to support it. We will have to rely on 'your hearting sinking' as evidence of the collusion of individuals to fix football matches.

Remind me what is an agenda or bias again?

So you have given up with Moss as you have no evidence but have now moved on to someone else.

Is that the same Mike Dean who reffed the QPR match, or the cup semi against United, or the match against Spurs which clinched our first qualification to champs lge? But he influenced a lge match three games into the season against Bournemouth on the behest of PIGMOl to undermine us but not the others?

Can I ask when this pigmol bias started and refs fixing games?

There's plenty of 'evidence' contained within the ninety-odd pages of this thread. Have another read of them, and I have seen enough football over the seasons since Robinho stumped up at the Etihad that we have not had a 'fair crack of the whip' within the RagDipperArseHaringeyMeedya. If there is a story about MCFC in the press it'll be invariably a negative one. and I have seen enough 'instances' where refs have treated us stark-staringly differently from the way they have 'officiated' during the next match they get. If this is 'the human element' entering the game, so be it, but it raises a long question list for me!

Never used the word 'fixed'.

@franksinatra - I think the whole of the internet knows by now that you don't believe that there is any media agenda/bias against City and that the refs are all wonderful human beings. However would you agree that there is too much in the game for there not to be any hint of corruption? Why do refs not apply the same interpretation of the laws even within the same game and why do City seem to be on the end of some rather dubious decisions? Walker last year shoved Raz in the back which the whole ground saw apart from the four officials and should have resulted in a pen and a red. This year one official saw an elbow from Walker that just didn't happen - result was a red card. We appear to be treated differently wouldn't you agree when it come to the media and refs?

No free kick, no card and no review after the event. Ridiculous.

And in what way does any of that prove Jonathan Moss is working on behalf of PIGMOL to screw us over?

Your 'sinking feeling' in your heart had a stronger weight of evidence than what you have written there.

I hope the refs don't go looking for Jesus, like they did with Mario.

I think they have an eye on him already. Booked for a 'handball' that must have hit his hand at a great rate of knots, and then near carted into the stand by the most reckless tackle of the weekend that I saw, and no free kick! Mario got nothing like the fouls perpetrated on him, and Sterling has become another of our players who seemingly has to take out a mortgage to get a foul, and now Jesus. All fair game. And if other pros have seen the 'tackle' on Jesus they might think it's open season on South Americans.

You a lawyer, Frank? Anyway, the evidence shall have to wait, I'm off to Halfords. Blues, keep an eye on that bastard Moss, I can't get to the game tomorrow!

Thanks for your message Eds. I definitely think we had some poor decisions against us last year but having poor decisions and concluding their is a collusion of numerous individuals to conspire against us is an extremely long stretch for me. I also believe that the majority of people are decent and honest and of all the refs which are part of PIGMOL, executives at the refs asdociation I think one would have acted as whistleblower. For example John Williams who oversaw the refs as, circa 2012 was an ex-Manchester City director. Was he biased against us? By all accounts was highly respected by the club and a thoroughly decent man.

Former Premier League ref Mark Halsey has claimed he was told by the refereeing body to say he had not seen incidents in matches.

55-year-old Halsey, who retired at the end of the 2012-13 season, made the shocking comments in in a debate over Sergio Aguero's appeal against a three-match ban that will rule him out of the Manchester derby.

Manchester City were understood to be appealing the ban because TV images showed referee Andre Marriner was close to the incident and appeared to be looking clearly at Aguero's tussle with West Ham defender Winston Reid.

Premier League rules state no retrospective action can be taken if the incident was seen by the official at the time.

But Halsey, in conversation on Twitter, made the shocking claim he had been told by PGMOL - the organising body for elite referees in England - to say he hadn't seen incidents that he had actually witnessed.

"I have been in that situation," he wrote, "when I have seen an incident and been told to say I haven't seen it."

If the above were not true then PGMOL would have defended their position robustly through legal channels. Instead they released a statement simply saying that referees are not put under any pressure to omit or include things in their reports. Strange they didn't go after Halsey.
