To be honest I went thinking the same but he was very good and talked very little about the final as much as I thought he would which was a bit surprising as the event was in Wigan itself, when I spoke to him after it was more about VK and KDB

But just because some costs alot it doesnt make them a good player.
Mangala even in todays market is worth nothing like 40 mill.

No way should Kompany be playing international football,he has been injured so many times playing in meaningless international games and should have more respect for our club who pay his wages for the few games hes fit

I'd of agreed with you 3/4 months ago but kompanys presence and impact isn't just about his defending, it's the leadership and confidence he instills. Silva and kun just don't have the same presence or ability to motivate like him. We have some extremely weak minded players and heads invariably go down, there's not one guy in that squad who has the ability of Kompany in that regard....
We needed a CB but imo a leader, in some ways that was what the Sanchez signing was about!

Seems a bit harsh, for all we know he might be back in the team next weekend although admittedly I wouldn't bet on it. I'm not sure what you mean by "find a role" and whether you mean a purely coaching role? Personally, I think the issue is how reliant we are on him. If the drop off in ability and leadership to the other CBs wasn't so huge then it would be fine. He would be one of the four, he'd get games when he's fit and when he's not, it wouldn't feel like the crushing blow that it currently is. But tbh, looking at our record when it comes to buying central defenders in recent years, I don't think getting rid would have been the answer. He's the best CB we have by a mile and we need to appreciate the matches he plays for us rather than thinking he is holding us back by being in the squad IMO.Either the club or Kompany himself needs to admit he's done.
Harsh for such a legend and we should find a role for him but its hurting us now holding on like this.
The timing of the injury straight after the transfer window closing is also concerning.
People can make of it what they want they usually do.

Well fuck me !! Never in a million years did I realise Blue Moon had so many registered GP`s,Physios,Consultants and the likes, who know exactly Vinnies current injury problem.
Even worse are those who claim he is being selfish by continuing to play for his country.
Well why don`t you all just fuck off and leave him to determine what is best for himself at this late stage in his wonderful career.
Next year will be the last time he could be playing in a World Cup and I may be wrong but didn`t he miss out on the last Euros through injury.
Like Zaba, the guy bleeds blue blood and IMO I would not be surprised to see him become a wonderful Manager later on in his life.

Guardiola protect the back four ? Do me a favour ....I'll be honest. If he puts a couple of DM's in front of those two and has the fullbacks stay back instead of going forward, they might be okay. Hopefully, it's those two though. I don't even want to consider Mangala.

He is not done,the difference he makes to us when he plays is evident,when it comes to Belgium he is irresponsible,he can't play every game and ours as well,i am being selfish but he should put our needs above that of his country,it's the clubs and manager/s fault we have not made sure we have proper cover,too late again,i'm staggered we don't get it done,football is a balance between attack and defence but we are top heavy in attack and have been for the last 3 yrs

I think I said the same, losing him on the pitch leading us will be the bigger blow than losing him purely as a defender, the otter and stones just look more asured when he's there, that's why I would bring Yaya in tomorrow, either next to ferdy of instead of him, an old head with a composure that we will have lost at the back.

Time for Vincent to decide between City and Belgium.
Unfortunately because of his age and his on-going injuries, he can't do both.
If he wants to extend his career and continue playing for a City, he has to retire from international football.

He's the only leader in our team, take him out and we'll struggle against big teams just like we have been doing last two seasons. Can't believe we've gone in to this season expecting vinnie to be fit for most games, stupid decision.

I'd say the consensus amongst city fans is we are over stacked in attack and limited in defence. You've missed the point completely, having options allows you to eradicate those stats!
