Brahim Diaz vs Liverpool

He looks great. He just needs to learn that a well timed pass can beat a defence as well as a dribble.

Players like him are really effective when they learn when to release. In that video there are lots of occasions where his ability to beat his man (or often, men) has created space elsewhere. Once he learns how to exploit that through bringing his team mates in, he'll be a world beater.

And get picked up by Barca or RM.

Surely needs a loan move at this stage?
Expecting him and Foden to be given the odd game and/or sub appearance this season. They will still need EDS to be match sharp, next season or in January you may see Diaz loaned possibly to Girona. Foden will probably never be loaned and be integrated into the squad over time.

David Silva has to hang on until Brahim is ready for the First Team. Both Real and Barca would want this lad. The nearest thing to Messi I have seen. If this lad is allowed to bugger off back to Spain before we offer him a five year contract I can see that my feet will ne'er cross the Minihad threshold again!

THE YOUNG MALAGUEÑO IS ON THE WHITE AGENDA Real Madrid spies Brahim Díaz

O.D.12 / 09/2017 02: 350

The world of football has changed and the market every year is more complicated. The exorbitant amounts that are being paid by some players also do not help. In these, Real Madrid has several years with the policy of trying to recruit the best young talent when they have not yet exploited. Thus they were linked to the white team Asensio, Vallejo, Fede Valverde, Odegaard or Vinicius. The club continues to track the 'teenagers' market, and one of the names that Real Madrid has marked red in its agenda is that of Brahim Diaz, Manchester City.
Talent, imbalance, speed, ability to play with both legs, goal (scored one to Real Madrid in preseason) ... Brahim is Malagueño, is 18 years old and is one of the greatest promises of Spanish football. During the last international break he has become the youngest player to debut with Under-21 (18 years and a month), and his projection is meteoric. However, not everything is rosy with respect to the interest in the young Andalusian of Moroccan descent. Manchester City bet very strongly for him in 2013, the year in which he 'slipped' to Malaga in exchange for something less than half a million euros.

Stresses since I was a child
Brahim has been standing out on the playing fields since he is a child. Barcelona wanted to sign it before the City took an interest in him and put all the meat on the grill, but the president and owner of Málaga, Sheikh Al-Thani, did not want to transfer it to the Barça team. The good relationship of its representative, Pere Guardiola, with the British team propitiated its march to the City, where year after year they hallucinate with its spectacular evolution.
A year ago, the young Malaga signed his first professional contract with Manchester City, so in contractual terms is armored. In addition, Guardiola relies a lot on the qualities of the young playmaker and this course has in mind to give opportunities with the first team. For all of that, getting him out of the English team today seems like a chimera, but if any club is able to convince Brahim, that's Real Madrid.
In the offices of Concha Espina handle very positive reports of the young Andalusian footballer, both sports and personal. Those who know him emphasize their professionalism and their desire to improve to day, in addition to an innate talent that only have some chosen. It is on the agenda merengue, and if it continues to evolve as until now Real Madrid could start to move the machine. The positive side is Florentino Pérez's magnificent relationship with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, owner of the City. The downside is that the British entity does not need money and Brahim is one of their big bets in the short and medium term.

We have already lost Sancho. If it gets to the point where someone like Brahim also wants to leave, because he thinks he will get more 1st team opportunities at Real, than at City, we need to have a long hard look at ourselves and our road to the 1st team.

At some point the club/Pep needs to start giving these guys a chance. The game at the weekend was a prime example. Why name Foden on the bench if he cant even get on the pitch for the last 20 mins when we are leading 4-0 against a team down to 10 men? If he isn't getting on the pitch in this scenario, what scenario does he ever get on? What score does it have to be for him to get some minutes? 8-0, 12-0? Ok, I know the loss of Ederson probably didnt help his chances.

We have to give these lads an opportunity in our 1st team, before our academy gets the reputation, as nothing more than the best education and springboard in football to bigger and better things elsewhere.
