VVD and Tierny are two excellent players and should be considering them regardless of Kompany and Mendys current injures IMO, as we could do with another CB and LB
Just trying to understand who is saying this, where the rumour has come from.Whilst it may or may not be true about Vinny having a setback (I personally believe it to be pretty serious seen as its kept him out of 6 games already) what has who the OP is got to do with anything?

It's more that he plays when he has not been right for us then breaks down when he gets back,he has gone against bobby and mp for sure, not sure what pep thinksIt does seem that way, but I would be interested to see how many times it's happened when away with Belgium compared to when he's been with us. I don't know but I suspect it doesn't happen with Belgium as much as we think it does.
That's true in the past, this time though he seemed fine when he left with the games at the end of last season and the start of this so can't really blame him for playing even though it was just a friendly, he must have been thinking he had finally solved the problem. It's more that he plays when he has not been right for us then breaks down when he gets back,he has gone against bobby and mp for sure, not sure what pep thinks
He didn't need to playing in a friendly,i can see why he thought he was better thoughThat's true in the past, this time though he seemed fine when he left with the games at the end of last season and the start of this so can't really blame him for playing even though it was just a friendly, he must have been thinking he had finally solved the problem.

Being fair to him, it wasnt a friendly
Of course he will but i think this is the last season for him,he will stay around as club capt and ambassador but thats it,he wants to manage so he might go off to Belgium i supposeMassive void to try and fill. I don't think he's going to play again for us. I really hope I'm proved wrong.

If true, its sad for Kompany, but life goes on. He put his frigile body at unnecessary risk playing a dead rubber International match & his actions have yet again impacted on City.I heard last night from a reliable source that Kompany is causing major concerns behind the scenes and has suffered another setback. This may not be surprising to many but staff at City have decided that a permanent replacement is URGENTLY needed.
Virgil Van Dyke is being seriously considered as an immediate replacement.(as immediate as Jan anyway obs)
This comes on top of the worry for Mendy as we were already looking for back up. Names mentioned last night were Bertrand, Chillwell and Tierney. But with some of our players already on loan at Celtic it is felt we may have some bargaining power for Tierney.
Going over the top slightly ? Nah, nobody does that on here.I don't think he's going to play again for us.
Are you serious? To City at the going rate for 5 players that have the quality for selection you are looking at another £200M minimum! How do you think we would square that with Fair Play scrutiny? It's not Fantasy league we are playing.I said from the end of the window that we need another LB, CB CM, RM, CDM & a young reserve striker wouldn't go amiss either. Our success or failure this season will come down to our strength in depth. 1-18
