We didn't play anywhere near our best and scored to seal the game in the 90th minute. We edged it in comparison to previous weeks, no bias here.
But we did though. The only thing missing was the finish. We missed 4-5 golden chances and messed up a further 3 or 4 easy situations in front of goal. It's amazing how much of a gloss a flattering scoreline puts on the game. We played every bit as well as we have all season.

I heard a tale about the journos during the World Cup in South Africa, the story comes from a red top stringer who was over there, and he relayed it to a mate of mine who was in Fleet Street at the time.

Basically once they had all filed their match reports, they all colluded to come up with the narrative for the editorial pish that would be in the follow up articles, this (allegedly) was over several libations in the bus back to whatever luxury watering hole they were all ensconced.

Lead agitator and top dog was one H.Winter, at that time of the Telegraph, and apparently all the red top muppets went along taking the que and embellishing accordingly.

I offer this up as evidence of rat menatality, and how the red tops follow the broadsheets.
Someone at City told me a similar story. The red top hacks were sat there in the media room openly discussing how they were going to spin the manager's press conference.

I thought Simon Stone was happy this morning on radio 5, then I picked up on the news he was breaking. Then he had the temerity to suggest questions would be asked about why Aguero was in Holland a few days before a game, because international flight etc increases the risk of injury.

And the BBC have used that quote on their website, after a note that City said it was his day off. An hour or so to fly home?

Simon Stone on BBC webpage shit stirring with his snide "There will be a major question mark over what Aguero was doing in the Netherlands" comment.
To take the opportunity to unsettle the club instead of simply expressing concern for the player is a measure of this despicable weasel of rag journalist.
For the record I am happy for Sergio and all those who attend concerts accepting the risk of traffic accidents, terrorism or whatever.
Rock on Sergio, Roll on City .... Jog on Simon Stone.

We should ignore every media outlet for the next 24hrs,they have the perfect headline to run with, usually we are selling sergio on the day of a big game so this is a gift for them, don't let them wind us up as they read the shite written on here

Talkshite tonight saying Aguero was unprofessional in swanning off to Holland and that such a long journey when he was supposed to be resting will have Pep furious. Gough likened it to Ben Stokes out drinking and in punch ups - you could not make it up.They only talk about us in a negative context to delight the rags/dippers/tarquins

Probably not the best day to be listening to that crap, it's all very predictable.

But there's no media agenda. Just ask Frank or Blue Phantom.

Meanwhile the Beeb has exhumed the body of the illustrious luminary Martin Jol to tell us and the world how ridiculous Sergio has been.
