Just what i was thinking BA. Always made disparaging remarks about City has this lump of a centre forward, who was, perhaps unfortunately, involved in the Paul Lake challenge which led to his knee injury.....good on him for spilling the beans, and making our own frank etc look a little silly but i remember TC being part of the problem as much as anyone else.

Why has he made me look silly in anyway? In what way does anything he said proves there is an agenda against us?

Cascarino won't be popular with his Lord's and Master's after that. It just confirms what we all know, and I am only shocked that someone has had the bottle to come out and say it so publically.
The BBC are every bit as bad, if not worse. I steer clear of their coverage except for MOTD with the mute button handy.

There goes the hook..

I knew you could not ignore me for long :-).

Stayed off the thread all morning even though none agenderists, were being criticised for not commenting. If someone references me by name I think I should be entitled to a right of reply. Dont you?

What was irritating about BT Sport's coveragea last night was Gerrard.

Lampard is clearly a very reasonable and intelligent man. He understands things and has the ability to be pragmatic and reasonable.

Now Rio, despite being a rag prick is not the worst of pundits. For one he openly admits he is biased towards United which is bolder than 90% of everyone else but more importantly he's a modern footballer.

I posted a while ago (In this thread I think) that football changed after 2005 massively and there was an old style and a new style. Ferdinand and Lampard are two exapmles of old style players that adapted really easily to the post 2005 world. Through gritted teeth or not Ferdinand could at least admit that we played good stuff, but more importantly he understood why we played the way we play and he admittedly has a sophisticated enough understanding of the game to know what Pep is about.

Now in my earlier post I suggested that there were some dinosaurs trapped in a pre-2005 world. Where physicality and raw technique triumphs over intelligence. The very definition of Gerrard.

He just doesn't get it. He's never been a clever footballer. He was carried by Alonso in his best years and his blatant deficiencies were glossed over thanks to their fantastic attack in 2014. Like Rooney, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain and many England 'greats' before him his lack of intelligence was badly exposed through his forced desires to play centre mid.

His athleticism, technical ability and leadership were marvelous. But he wasn't clever. And pundits are supposed to be clever enough to understand the game. The reason they get the best ex-pros in is because they're supposed to understand the higher level stuff we average Joes wouldn't.

Not Gerrard. Go back to 1999 you prick.
