Apparently so.I'm also a gun owner! Crazy me, huh?!

I was there a few weeks ago for the Liverpool game. I wouldn't be out alone after midnight in most areas of downtownManchester, especially in the areas of drunken scrotes turning out of the bars. Clearly, you think 98% of America is urban jungle like "Escape from New York"!When was the last time either of was in Manchester, also which part of the city was you in?
just wondering so I can avoid those parts that are more dangerous than 98% of the US.
Opinions are like arseholes, I guess.Apparently so.
With the Constitutional Right to have no restrictions on it, of course. Oh wait...!
I'm not here to defend America, only to try to help others understand why so many Americans own guns and feel the need to.
I'm disgusted by gun crime and think they should throw away the key for those that commit crimes using guns! I'm serious on law and order...but I'm also a gun owner! Crazy me, huh?!
My wife and I used to float about out there all the time ('89-'95), me mooning the helicopters and my wife getting her tits out for fun! Little did we know they were laughing at us for a whole different reason! I saw a thing (YT or TV, can't remember) about hundreds of hammerheads gathering there! We have scuba dived with sharks in the Bahamas, but nothing like the bulls, black tips and hammers that you regularly see at NSB.Funny you should mention this, there is a programme on channel 5 here right now about atracks at that beach where there were 2 attacks in one day. Never heard of that beach until u mentioned it and 5 minutes later a programme starts. Saying they were black tipped sharks.
I don't see how anyone could justify owning a firearm.Opinions are like arseholes, I guess.
I'm not sure there is anything ironic in saying Trump jumped to conclusion as to the motives of the shooter.
I'm saying the hurdle to ownership is much larger in Canada, but the very same reasons people own them in the Great White North exist South of the border. However, most of the people who commit these crimes are not the same as those people who own them out in the hinterlands. Not sure what that's supposed to mean.
My point was that Canada is also a big country with lots of reasons to own firearms, Just like the U.S.
Thankfully, I don't have to justify anything to you.I don't see how anyone could justify owning a firearm.
What possible sane reason can any individual have for purchasing an assault rifle ?With the Constitutional Right to have no restrictions on it, of course. Oh wait...!

You should be. If it was up to me, anyone who tried to own a firearm would deservedly be locked away for a long time.Thankfully, I don't have to justify anything to you.
I'm not disagreeing or trying to justify that. And, unless you have a special licence granted by the ATF, you CANNOT LEGALLY own an automatic weapon. Then again, it isn't that hard to convert one...illegally, of course. While I don't agree I can just about see the argument of someone living in rural/remote areas where guns are part of every day life on ranches etc or people wanting a gun at home for protection against intruders etc.
But we're talking about machine guns here. There is nothing constitutional about a machine gun and there is absolutely no legitimate reason for any civilian to require possession of a machine gun. It's totally obscene.
The clue is in the name. ;DWhat possible sane reason can any individual have for purchasing an assault rifle ?
Ever heard of Sandy Hook? If that didn't do it, nothing will....except widespread attacks on Senators, Congressmen, Governors and the President...and I am ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVOCATING THAT (Block caps intended).I think the gun argument has tilted in favor of a ban or some tougher restrications.
The pro gun owners arguement of "well if people had guns they could take a shooter out" no longer exists after this incident. Nothing could stop him until he had done damage and been found.
Either way nothing will change and 10 years from now this shit will still happen.
You've defended the right for Americans to own guns and you've posted a lot about it. You might have already said it but do you think there should be tighter controls on who can own guns and the types of guns they should be allowed to buy or do you think that no change in the law is required?Thankfully, I don't have to justify anything to you.

Have you ever taken the time to look into how many incidents of good shooter saving people there are?
As for an armed populace, there are many examples of large armed populations who do not commit such crimes.
Listen, I'm as horrified as everyone here. What I'm TRYING to do is explain to people who think it is simply a matter of "changing the law" are out to lunch and lack any understanding of American history or life.
I take issue with your last point, but we are so far gone here, that it's not worth it.
