9 goals,6 substitutions, Stoke player down injured for quite a while then carried off....3mins added time! How?

Probably because a few more minutes wouldn't have had much of an effect on the outcome.

Son said will be 8mins I said, should be but it will be 3. The whole added time thing is a joke and is down to a guess by the ref, yesterday he decided the game was over as a contest and so he ended it early

I got home and watched the second half of the Watford Arsenal game,4mins added time. Is that because it was a tight score line? If so what a load of bollocks. Shouldn't be a case of "oh it's game over anyway let's just call it 3mins"

"Only" five goals in the second half. Time for the first four would have been added before half time.
Perhaps the ref realised we had to be fresh for Napoli on Tuesday.

We might have scored another or Stoke scored could be an important goal at the end of the season

We definitely might have scored another one and an 8-2 score would've been a memer's dream but, the way we're going, I doubt it would make much of a difference towards the end of the season. 8 Games in and we're already 6 goals ahead of the "free scoring" rags and 15 ahead of spurs.
And I think we'll just take it on points anyhow.

Sooner they do something about the timing of games the better. Mind you, even though it's almost always something that goes against us currently, (i.e. our opponents wasting time and nowhere near enough being added on) there were plenty of people on here in the relevant thread who weren't at all happy when FIFA mooted the plan that would completely eradicate time wasting from football or instances like yesterday when a ref just makes it up as he goes along.

He took pity on them. He didn’t even allow us to take a corner. All very nice if it was a cup tie but what if we lose the league on g/d by 1 goal

The ground would have been even less populated had he played any longer. I thought a few more might stay to the end after that performance yesterday.

Simple really
Just copy rugby league
2 digital clocks in the ground, so everyone can see the amount of time.
This is controlled by an independent time keeper.
Injury/long time taken free kicks/excessive goal celebrations, substitutions, etc. The ref sticks his hands up, and the clock is stopped.
Game ends when time is 00:00 on the clocks.

Transparency for all.

By the way. Why does the games have to stop for sub's? Half a minute for them to trudge off, and get a round of applause. Cobblers. Running substitutions with them being announced to the crowd. That's the way. It just simply stops the flow of games, and is just used as a time wasting tool.

We did take the corner. Took it short and then he blew. That having been said, if the clock ticks over the allotted time and the ball is in the corner quadrant, or on the edge of the box for a free kick, the referee is obligated to blow for time. In reality, they never blow for full time when the ball is in, or heading towards, the penalty area.

Only this. 7-2, some of the best football I've ever seen and everyone's gone home to be in time for the x-factor! I thought it was one of our poorest shows yesterday, which was a huge shame because I thought the atmosphere, for 80 minutes at least, was excellent.

Their player injured for just over two mins, Walker had treatment for nearly two, we made three subs, should have been at least six minutes

The way we're playing, if that happened, serious questions would need asking!

I thought 6 or 7 minutes but the way we were knocking it around in midfield I think we'd more or less declared anyway.
