3-5-2 is hopefully out of the window. It doesn't allow us to dominate possession and if anything causes us more problems than it solves.

Really? I think Pep disagrees. Hence why we played that formation against Liverpool, a side with a similar attacking style to Napoli. It's designed to give more defensive cover and to control the ball.

But it doesn't and leaves us very vulnerable to the ball over the top into the space behind the wing back
We are much more solid with a back four, which when we are in possession, morphs into a three, as the two full backs push on, the centre halves go wide and one of the midfielders drops deep

Same starting eleven as Saturday please set up the same way
This is by far and away our strongest formation, no matter which players start the game

I didn't argue which formation suits us the most or request we go 3-5-2, I merely pointed out that it's an option that Pep likes to go with. He's less likely to do it without Kompany and Mendy in the squad, but when they are it gives us more strength at the back.

Some of our best performances came in a 3-5-2 last season and it allowed us to dominate those games. Look back at Chelsea (H) and Everton (H) and tell me otherwise.

Napoli, as Pep has pointed out, play completely differently than other PL teams. So he may plan on changing tactics... let's see.

And also one of our worst, getting mullered at Leicester
In the first twenty minutes vs Liverpool, they exploited that ball behind our wing back a couple of times
I know what you're saying, but the four at the back that morphs about has proven over the last month to be incredibly successful, even allowing us to totally dominate Chelsea

The only way I think Pep will change is by bringing Aguero back in place of Sterling, but I hope he doesn't as this City team is playing with an incredible confident swagger

Can't see Sergio not coming straight back in given how he was performing prior to his injury.

i could not find a thread for Vincent Konpany continued absence can anyone give an update i must admit to be concerned i thought we had him sorted out injury wise. its worrying because PEP will sadly run out of patience

Vinnies finished mate. I don't even bother looking for updates on him anymore

This will be our toughest test so far this season. As long as we put in a performance similar to the one against Stoke then I see no reason why we can't win this one. A win would put us 6pts in front of Napoli, with 3 games to go, and depending on the result in the other game we could be half way to already qualifying for the knock out stages.

Win tomorrow and we are 99.9% there as we've still got Feyenoord to play at home.

Win tomorrow and look to rest players in the remaining CL games and give PL priority until knock out stages.
I am confident we can get it done even though Napoli are the one of the better teams in Europe atm. They do not travel particularly well.

well it's hit us here in Dublin and it's technically a fecking breeze. Manchester will probably get about as much as us at worst.
3 trees ripped out of the ground on my street alone, can't see it going ahead if Manchester is the same tomorrow but see what happens
