It's a worry to me that he so so rusty and he is also 2 bookings away from a ban, that says to me he is relying on going in hard rather than using his skill as john does,i'm not liking the rashness of his tackling so far but as you suggest it's early days in his return and i still pray he can get back to his best
Did you see his games at the end of last season and the start of this? He was outstanding. As far as I am concerned he made one mistake last Saturday, and other than that played very well. As I said, in my opinion, he suffers with injury, but when fit is an utterly brilliant defender.

Not bad for someone who's a liability and can't pass the ball eh?

Enjoyed that thanks. Watching that, it’s striking how much we’ve progressed in terms of attacking fluidity. There were lots of opportunities for the counter in those clips. Yet no speed of counter movement, support and most balls lumped up field in hope. I dare say this team could have got two or three goals from the same opportunities.

Here's one from the Leicester game. Besides the foul he made in the first 5 minutes or so he didn't put a foot wrong...bear in mind it was his first game back after 2 months. Next?

I wasnt looking for an argument or debate, simply saying putting a vid of a player several seasons ago doesn't mean he is still the same level - goes for any player

Is this another 'big test' for us? Are people having a 'bad feeling' about this game?

If they win or even draw with us it will be a freak result, we're far and away the best team in the league.

Vinny was a centre half in Belgium, every top team in European football were scouting him as such, his fitness/injury issues were the only reason Hamburg secured his signature.Hamburg played him in midfield during his relatively brief stay as he couldnt break up their defensive partnership, which included DVB.He's never been a natural midfielder, only a stop gap.

As for the game on Sunday,it will be difficult but i expect after initial resistance we will break them down and come away winners by a couple of goals.

My comments were regarding VK's below average passing , but thanks for the history lesson , this really is off topic so will post on VK in the appropriate thread , agree regarding the Tykes , they will be tough to break down , Wagner is a tactically astute manager but their high energy pressing game will eventually run out of steam and hopefully our class will be enough to take the points in the latter stages of the game.

to be fair he only made one bad tackle seemed fine after that

IMHO the problem is that displays like those against Wolves and Feyenoord show what happens when we don't all hit the deck running and we have to rely on luck to get us through.
When we are at full strength I have no fear of any team we play (which is a weird but welcome feeling in itself ), the doubts creep in when there is too much tinkering.
We have a tough month ahead of us so the whole squad must play a part but Pep needs to avoid resting too many of our best players at the same time otherwise we will come unstuck against a team whose luck is with them on the day.

He has hardly played but has 3 yellows already,he'll never get to the derby at that rate which is my main concern

Well if we play Mangala and Otemendi Moaninho might might tell his team to get out of there half and only order the single decker bus.
