Swap the positions & Foden would be better than Diaz.

They are different. Foden is much better at seeing & executing passes, much much better, Diaz better at dribbling possibly goalscoring.

Both should have an assist by it tonight.

good assessment and i agree. they are both talented but foden in his natural position is the more talented imo.

Expected tbh. Diaz and Tosin were positives tonight. Tosin very good in 2nd half and Brahim was amazing at times.

Face? Bothered? What a great feeling seeing Diaz, foden and tosin starting a game in the champions league, fantastic to see and all the hard work that everyone has put in since the takeover came to fruition tonight. Khaldoon said they wanted to see academy lads starting in the first team and crossing the bridge as it's now put.
It all came true tonight, well done and I'm so proud.

Diaz really positive when he came on. Should be very proud of that cameo. Pep must really trust foden, playing wing back in his first senior start can't have been easy and he did fine. Gundogan worked his bollocks off and constantly showed for the ball but still could be a bit sharper. Think it will come after a few more games.

Don't buy into the 'yaya's legs have gone' arguement, he's not gonna produce the lung busting runs anymore but overall he just looks like he can't be arsed. The lack of effort from him in the build up to their first goal was embarrassing

Some sloppy passing from quite a few players , especially 1st half.
Mangala , Danilo , even Bernardo (very tricky dribbling but no end product.
Sane 's touch let him down , again.

Yaya wouldn't be as bad if he'd been playing more.

But if he's going to play so little, he will never be upto speed, at his age.

Can’t take too much from this game although the 1st half wasn’t good even by the standards of the ones starting.

Positive Diaz. That’s about it. Foden can’t be judged for playing out of position. He lived up after Diaz came on. Tosin defo not ready.

No injuries, the ones expected for Sunday didn’t overdo so we should be able to field the best we can put on this Sunday. Let’s hope defeat won’t influence our game.

if we didnt have such a big game on sunday tonights result would have been very different
