Spurs (h) pre-match thread

Don't think Dave would miss a big game for a baby, given the time of year I'd worry it was something less positive, but hopefully not. Big chance for Silky to really put his name back in the reckoning as he's been off the pace so far this year. Bernardo on the bench if it doesn't work out as well so hopefully nothing to worry about. Need to get at their defence and put fear in them, make them think twice about committing men forwards

I hope they press us high.

It'll either lead to us exploiting the space behind them.

Or they'll beat us by getting at mangala and everyone will say thats the way to beat us, which will lead to some absolute massacres after stones is back next week.

Was watching in City square and noticed David not getting off the bus. Very tough game now but ‘In Pep we trust’

We are still more than good enough to win without Silva, as good as he is we are not a one man team.

Sure it will be tougher but i'm expecting KDB & Gundo to step up today.

Not by me.

Anyone who suggested that is just as bad at pretending to know things.
You’re confusing “knowing things” with opinions hence me always prefixing things with “I think”.

I am very surprised he starts after 90 mins midweek and Jesus starting against United.

But I won’t criticise it, Pep knows these guys inside out and was with them every day. So surprised but not disappointed.

Can’t win. When Foden isn’t on the bench half the forum throws a paddy. When he’s on the bench then it’s a little thin.

I’d say no other team would have such a strong match day squad with Mendy, Kompany, Stones, Silva all out.

No complaints from me but you have to say it feels a little arse backwards, youth on bench v Swansea or Spurs but then again that kind of independent thinking got me in so much trouble last game, that I nearly never commented at all.
