Bristol played well, won't be any pushovers especially if we play the kids. Thought their centre back and left back had really good games.

Which is why playing home first is best for once.

They could be overawed at the Etihad. It gives us the best chance to kill the tie off before we face their fans.

Go there first and they might get a result and coe to us nededing only to keep us out.

Our FA cup tie is preceding Saturday at 3 pm.

Arsenal playing 4pm Sunday in the FA Cup so we'll almost certainly play Bristol City on Tuesday night.

Our kids will struggle to beat that lot. However, we won't have a choice, games are now thick and fast.

Our kids! We didn't just play kids v Leicester and this is a semi.

I wouldn't assume anything on team selection. Let's see how things stand when we get there.

Thanks. Probably best as that gives longest lead up to the Anfield PL game the following weekend. Likely our toughest remaining PL match.

For once we actually got lucky with the second leg away (often a disadvantage in 2 leg SFs). The week of the away leg (which will hopefully be like West Ham a few years back - irrelevant) we may even have no game the next weekend if we lose to Burnley in FA Cup or could have an easy home match. (Unlikely I know!)

So we have more leeway the week of the second leg. We cannot do anything about Anfield 3 or 4 days after the first leg so we are going to be thinking of that at least a little in team selection.

We will be playing on Tuesday and will have the dippers on the Sunday. If we play a full strength side in the first leg we should have more than enough rest days to recover in time for the trip to Anfield.
