Carabao Cup SF draw (Bristol City)

If these draws really are fixed (doubt it), perhaps Pep has turned us into one of the teams that they are fixed to support instead of against. :)
 
The more I think about it, the more I think he will play similar to last nights team against Burnley and go stronger in this. Or maybe a mix of the two.

Something like.

Burnley - Bravo, Danilo, Stones, Tosin/Kompany, Zinchenko, B Silva, Toure, De Bruyne Sterling, Diaz, Aguero.

B City - Bravo, Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Delph, Fernandinho, D Silva, Gundogan, Foden, Jesus, Sane

Would rather throw anfield than run a full strength side to death to get a point at best which actually will be irrelevant at end of season. Best side out first leg and try to put tie to bed....to close to getting that first trophy to mess it up. If we lost 7-0 at Liverpool with kids we will still win league.
 
You cannot underestimate any team at this stage in a cup competition.....Bristol have beaten 4 prem team on their way to us so they are no mugs. They played some decent football and the way they played tonight they would have pushed up more than Leicester did last night if we had the same team out against them.....Think we should go as strong as possible and maybe only play A couple of the kids (Diaz and Fodden)
 
He will likely start with kids but have more firepower on bench to try to kill off the tie as they tire on our big pitch - as they will.

An extra couple of goals in the last 10 minutes could make the second leg meaningless.

If we play a weakened side against Burnley they could pull a surprise as they are doing well.

That would fire up both Bristol City and Liverpool who play us in the next 7 days.

Not a wise strategy.

I’ve never bought into any draw being fixed. Too many people involved for there not to be someone to whistleblow

What a great draw unless we manage to lose. Can’t see Pep playing a much stronger side than last night for either leg
 
Does anyone know how many away tickets zunited got? Looked about 3000+ there, as they had 3/4's of one stand behind the goal.
 
There's a cup final a stake.

Put out our best team in the first leg, try and kill the tie, and play a weaker side in the return leg.

Shame it's the home leg first. Because of that, i expect we'll go strong, a few fringe players mixed in with regulars and hopefully give them a spanking first game which won't be that easy as they'll be coming to us hoping to go back to their place still in it but if we manage that we can play a team resembling last nights team and still expect to go through. Now that we've made it this far we need to win it.
 
Think once you're in the semis you have to go for it. Bristol seem to be a good side so I wouldn't fuck around too much. Play a strong squad in the first leg and hopefully build a 2-3 goal lead. At that point, we'd be in the position to rotate the 2nd leg.

Yep bang on.
 
Only previous League Cup meeting was ten seasons ago. Mpenza put us ahead, they equalised and Bianchi got a late winner.
Couple of our lot had to collect tickets in a very dodgy pub near the ground. - Please note: the locals can get a bit over excited.
 
Presuming we get through Bravo in the final v Chelsea/Arsenal?

I know he's improved but the temptation to play Ederson.
 
Its hard to question the maestro Pep but I really think he should be playing decent strength sides that will as good as guarantee us a final place. It may be a minor cup but its better to have it in the cabinet than not. That apart it will be a great platform to go on and win more titles. I have faith he will do the right thing.
