Carabao Cup SF draw (Bristol City)

I think Pep will play the first team in the semis and the final now that we are this close.

He will likely start with kids but have more firepower on bench to try to kill off the tie as they tire on our big pitch - as they will.

An extra couple of goals in the last 10 minutes could make the second leg meaningless.

If we play a weakened side against Burnley they could pull a surprise as they are doing well.

That would fire up both Bristol City and Liverpool who play us in the next 7 days.

Not a wise strategy.
Might be difficult to tire them out their pitch is bigger than ours, need to put these to bed with a good side out in first leg. Once you reach semi final of any cup it's not a time to give any hope to the opposition.

I'd rest 4 for Burnley then the other 6 for Bristol city (bravo to play both).
Should still have enough to beat both and then if needed go full strength away at Bristol.

Bristol City did knock out several PL teams so far. All of them lower PL teams or playing the hoof up the pitch kind a game. No easy game home and away!!

Yeah I think this is what Pep will do, he will keep faith in the players that have got to this stage for now, they deserve it.

Pep's dreaded questions about the quadruple will keep popping up if we win this competition. I feel like he is going to headbutt someone in a post match interview before this season is over.

Interesting to see how Pep juggles with the fixtures. Hopefully a lot stronger side than the other night, get a two or three goal cushion in the first leg and kill the tie.
