Carabao Cup SF draw (Bristol City)

Looking at our next 4 league games , they all look very winnable if we can extend our lead to 15/16 points then it mightwell be we can rest players for some league games around the semi final and FA Cup 3rd round ,and play full strength teams in the cups , because there is no way this team is going to lose 5 or 6 of the last 20 league games , so lets take all the remaining cup games very seriously and win the lot, champs league included.

Think Ive been following City too long with subsequent emotional baggage to enjoy a post like that.

If pep plays 'the kids' for both legs as he has done in all the other rounds, does he play them in the final?
I wouldn't want him to but could see him being of the mindset of they got us here so it is fair they play in the final.
What would be the point in that? basically just giving a trophy to Arsenal or Chelsea

It will be interesting to see how he goes about it and the FA cup.

I think if we got to a final, everyone would prefer to see the strongest side, including Ederson but who knows what Pep thinks! He played a strong side against Arsenal in the semi last year when he has played Kelechi and Garcia in earlier rounds.

With Liverpool away at weekend after home leg I think the team will be similar to the Leicester team. Which could mean a close result and a bit of pressure on the away leg as a result. I would rather win multiple trophies than keep up the winning run as great as this is because if we were fortunate to win 3 trophies in a season that means so much more than 21 rather than 20 consecutive league wins. Equally if we beat Burnley the team may depend on the 4th round draw (after second leg)

think pep will want to win this, ok not the most wanted trophy but its the first in his bag as a city manager, therefore I expect him to play strong sides for the remainder of the competition. Bristol will be no pushovers but over 2 legs I would like to think we would win. No matter what, if we do arrive at the final I think he will go all out with the players available.

We have the Dipper away game after the first leg, so same team as Leicester for me and then review situation for second leg.
If (when) we get to the final then it has to be the strongest team available.

I think this game was on Match of the Day, and Garland got the winner for Bristol City.

Same team as Leicester for both legs. I think the youngsters are getting stronger and better with each game they play as are the likes of Silva and Gundogan.

Our so-called second string need to be good enough to step into the first team at a moment's notice and what better way to acclimatise them than by playing important games.

Imagine winning the trophy the rags set such store by with our youth team. If they don't win it, It's just another experience.

I’d be pissed off with him if he played Ederson in the final if we get there when Bravo has got us through 2 shootouts

I would go strong and get it won at home but i think pep will keep faith with the same team but have stronger options on the bench maybe

With all the praise that Bristol City have been getting today (even though they were lucky to win), you can see it now. If we manage to prevail and get to the final, the day after the second leg will be all "big, bad, evil moneybags Manchester City cruelly extinguish plucky Bristol City's Wembley dreams".
