If she genuinely is that stupid, she should be pitied and not ridiculed.
Have you heard her on the podcasts.
She's rude, talks over the others if she doesn't agree with them, with an increasingly high pitched shouty voice.
She's never able to get involved in discussions about play or tactics, just incidents and personality.
I've given up listening because of her, then someone suggested listening to last week's as she was ok. Boy were they wrong!

They're not really onto a winner there with sports writing like that.

I don't understand it myself, is there a living to be made by being so utterly wrong? I suppose Castles and Custis answer that question.

I was mistaken, the Times podcasts are not behind a paywall (though you have to wade through ads). I'm not going to bother, but for those that like to dip their toes in muck here's the link...

Never behind a paywall, and they never had ads before. Unfortunately though they've had Rudd for some time to replace the othe scouse sycophant Tony Evans.

Life is too short to listen to the likes of her on podcasts. I mostly limit my sports media these days to the BBC gossip column, Citywatch and a few tactics/scouting blogs, operating on the basis that if there's anything else decent someone will send it on to me.
I'd feel differently if there was more actual football content and less of the bullshit cult of personality/z list celebrity and blinkered biased editorials disguised as reporting, but there isn't.

Before the season started she predicted we wouldn't finish in the top four ( her predictions were Spuds,Rags,Chavs,Arse in that order).
So obviously based on that low expectation our current position of top by thirteen points and unbeaten would merit only a B+.
YCNMIU Jeff.
She's from Liverpool by the way.

On a similar note, surely with records being broken left, right and centre, best football premier league has ever seen and on track to smash practically every premier league record ever set. Surely only a perfect 10/10 could sum up our season so far. McNulty decides it's only a 9. It's a good score but what have we done that would allow him to drop a point out of 10?

Apart from beat his beloved United of course!

Just read that, how do newly promoted Newcastle get only 4 yet Palace who’ve been in the Prem for years get 5.5?

As for us, it’s been near perfect, should be st least a 9.9.

And what Trophy is he still expecting the rag ****s to win???

Because we`ve dropped two points all season otherwise he would have given us a 9.4%. ;)

Yeah, same score as Burnley :)

So who got an A Burnley?, Watford?
It’s this kind of stupidity that will award Roy Hodgson manager of the year even if we won the league and cup. Total joke.

Pep could do the clean sweep and Sean Dyche would still probably win manager of the year.

I’d put money on that and I don’t bet. You can only imagine what the media would make of Liverpool, Utd or Spurs having the same season as us. Having said all that there’s plenty of praise for Pep and this team.

The other journalists all gave City an A and in the end she capitulated and we were given an A.

And yes, Burnley got an A, if memory serves City and Burnley were the only teams given an A.

Pep and city have received nothing but praise this season. However, if the season were to continue on the same course, i don't think anybody could really argue against Dyche for manager or Salah for player of the year. Salah in particular as he's carried Liverpool so much, whereas we're more of a collective and what Dyche has done with that squad and budget deserves recognition.

well they have overlooked our title winning managers so far so we know whats coming. now wait for the push for Salah to be POTY.
Not sure why it matters a jot what they say, as the media have absolutely no say in the manager of the year awards though. The PL manager of the season is voted by a panel assembled by the sponsors of the PL and the LMA manager of the year award is voted by all the pro managers and can be awarded to any manager from any of the 4 professional leagues.
