No, no, no.

Why are people even suggesting it?

There are microscopic bacteria living in the bottom of the Atlantic trench that are better centre halves than Johnny Fucking Evans.

Guardiola's earned the right to get David James out of retirement and put him at CB if that's what he thinks is the right option.

All of his signings this season have been good ones, if he gets Johnny Evans, then there's no reason to doubt Johnny Evans will be good.

Maybe he is a short term 2 season solution, and maybe that's what Pep wants for the time being. Otamendi and Stones are at a level where we only need good back ups to come in when they're tired or injured, and as said above, Pep's earned the right to choose Evans.

A bit harsh that. On the other hand I'm 55, overweight and haven't kicked a ball in decades and I would most certainly do a better job at it than JFE.

Amen. Don’t even know if we’re back in for him, but if we are I think we should probably trust the manager.

Agree.

I’ve taken the piss but if there’s something there Pep sees that we don’t then I trust his judgement. Look at the new lease of life he’s given Delph as an example.

And he will still have to bed in and learn peps system. This frustrates me because if he’s a stop gap as people say, then we will have to start all over again in the summer with a new lad and try and flog this guy off

He's not good enough to play for us.

Forget the United links, forget the bedding in time, forget his general disdain for Man City, forget his price; that is the root and biggest problem with this as a potential transfer.

He's not a good enough footballer to play for us.

We only want him as cover - he can fill that role IMHO
