Technically correct, but you could say that of every transfer. Liverpool didn't have to sell Coutinho, but they did. Just need to get the right conditions and the case for selling is too compelling to turn down
Of course it is correct. Arsenal have him tied to a contract - end of. If they sell, great if they don't - naff all we or anyone else can do

My gut reaction is that if this transfer were to happen this window he would have been here on day 1. Same as VVD to Liverpool with all the formalities being concluded between clubs from Sept to Dec. IMO you dont hand around till the window before you start the negotiations. I accept of course Arsenal may have wanted Sanchez for certain games before releasing him to us. Just hope I am wrong as I said earlier starting to feel as though it wont happen.

We had no intention of buying Sanchez in January until the Jesus injury, none whatsoever.

Gabs' knee problem was one day before the window reopened.

We had been working and appropriating money for other targets.

Day 1 was never a contender.

Would u say it’s 50/50 it gets done this month?

If he plays tonight hope we walk away and wait till the Summer can't keep getting fucked about by these joker's

So Gab's injury is actually a blessing to Arsenal. According to TH we would not be going in for him now had Jesus remained fit. Thus Arsenal would lose him for nothing in the summer. Now they can have 30 million.

Seems fair they have time to get a replacement sorted.

But if it drags on past the next couple of weeks I'd walk away.

Are the rags in for him, then?

This reminds me of the RVP situation. Sanchez has a bit of an odour about him, and he’s no Spring chicken, but could be a very useful short term asset.

He becomes leass of an asset, to both City & Arsenal, at the end of the season imo.

They can get money for him now, & save his wages but he is likely to be less influential if they keep him & maybe unpopular with team mates, he walks for free in the summer & they could instead maybe bring in a fresh player now to inspire the squad.

We get an extra player now, who could be very influential when we are in 4 competitions & it is actually possible to win all of them, wheras we could sign anybody else we wanted, in the summer, it needn't be Sanchez .

Makes sense to get it done now, for both clubs & the player.

Arsenal actually hold none of the cards here. For them it’s either sell him for £20-25m or keep a player that doesn’t want to be there and let him leave for free in the summer. He won’t try his hardest and will continue to disrupt the dressing room further destabilizing the team. He will want to avoid injuries as a injury will lessen his bargaining position as a free agent and clubs will probably move for other targets.
