Squad cover?

Honestly Marvin?
Yes honestly. I don't rate his performances at all this season. He isn't starting wide and I don't think he starts ahead of Aguero or Jesus. Our interest crystallised when Jesus picked up the knee injury.

Think squad cover is probably the wrong phrase. With us he would be a squad member and would rotate. Whereas with the rags he would start every game.

Right up to the point he has spent 70 mins without the ball and then gets hooked and they throw on a big man ready for the reenactment of the Somme in the last 20 mins oh and he then gets thrown under whatever bus Mourinho has decided that week.

Forget him maybe not signing for us but if he goes to the rags and their brand of football under that **** of a manager then i will piss my sides with laughter.

I know you dont rate him Marvin, you have said as much on virtually every page of this thread to date.

Pep however does!

We'll see whether his level has dropped permanently or he's just in bad form bought on by not wanting to be there. Personally I suspect it's the latter.

Sane, Sterling, Aguero don't rotate. They play most weeks, and will continue to do so. There's no way Sanchez starts ahead of them. But if Jesus is out, then we need cover. That's how I interpret our interest. No surprise to me that our public interest in the player weakens on the day that Jesus gets a positive injury update from barcelona. We then let it be known that we will only proceed with this transfer if it suits us financially - so strengthening our hand in future transfer negotiations. Smart move.

If Sanchez goes to United it'll be naught to do with money, more that we refused to pay up. Looks like he'll come here though.

Maybe the point is that if we sign him we can give Sane, Sterling and Aguero the odd break that they don't get now.

Well we've been discussing it for 6 months. His dip is 6 months long, but he doesn't have the speed he had so I think it's more fundamental than form. It also includes his national team as well. I think he can handle contract disputes. Last season he was also involved in a long running contract dispute and he was on top of his game. It's all opinion though. You could be right.

Not to be a debbie downer but as soon as Mourinho spoke and then his family flying over stunk of United. Ah well, we'll get someone who wants to play for City no problem.
