Alternative striker options

For people saying we need a long term replacement for Sergio don't we already have that in Jesus ?

You need more than one striker to win. If we had a fit striker on the bench against candlepool we would have used them. Strikers go in and out of form, you need to rotate them to get the best out of them.

Forgot about Timo Werner.

He could be a good link up with Sterling and especially Sane.

The speed!

what about this BELOTTI Guy from Torino.... Banging in goals in Italy and will be italys striker for the world cup.... looks decent Like a Tevez type player
This is the guy him or icardi mark my words would be fantastic.

An in-form striker would help for sure - but we score from so many positions that the emphasis on an in-form striker is reduced.

Still - I love Aguero for what he's done for us - but it seems that he might not be the best fit for Pep's system. He may well be out of our side in the summer - equally, he may not.

Aguero isn't a trouble maker and seems to be trying to adapt his game to Pep's side - he's decent enough on the ball and when on form delivers a killer shot.

But - he's a bit lazy by nature (improving as of late) pressing - and his ball control in tight spaces (first touch) leaves him down more than Pep would like.

But when both of them are young they will hinder each other's development until u get to the point where one of them will be unhappy and want to leave.

In some games you can play both, in others not, but we play that many games we should be able to keep two strikers happy.

It will be interesting to see if we actually do go for anyone now in this winter transfer window......short time to do anything and not a lot of quality about.....we may just stick with what we have and hope for no more injuries to Kun or Jesus.......not ideal at all

In the summer we will go for a younger upcoming type of player I guess....or at least a young established player.

Can't see us getting a striker until the summer.

We might not even get one as we have other areas to address?

Let’s not forget; Sanchez is fourth choice striker at Arsenal. Giroud Lacazette and Welbeck are always picked at #9 before Sanchez mainly because Sanchez is not a striker.

I don’t know where people have got it in their heads that Sanchez is a striker. All this “Gabriel Jesus is out, Kun can’t play twice a week all season until he’s back” talk... Sanchez would have been in rotation with Sané and Sterling, not Kun, because Sanchez is not a striker.

Yet he played second half of the 11/12 season as 9 under Guardiola.

I would take Mbappe over Neymar if the price is the same. IMO, the kid has higher ceiling. And yes, French league is terrible.
And Mbappe doesn't seem to be a self-absorbed Prima donna which, in terms of dressing room stability goes a long way - Neymar is trouble brewing in any team - any franchise with Neymar in its side will somehow need to cope with his hugely negative impact on dressing room proceedings.

He’s got a fucking lot to learn and a lot to improve on.

Nobody knows how good he is going to be. Time and time again you see players get to 21 and that’s it, they never improve again. Of course, you also see some get better until thy reach elite level but Jesus has a long way to go before then.

And he only scored 15 goals all season in 41 games in all competitions. Ended up being dropped by Pep for Pedro a lot in a 60+ game season.
