He's a good acquisition for them, but only if they win the league or the Champions League in the next 2 years, its a sht or bust strategy.

Utd have done really well out this. They have signed a proven 20+ goals a season player and swapped him basically for a player they have no use for. Yes there are the wages but it’s a monthly salary and the agent fee but who cares he’s a quality quality player

Fuck me are you for real? Rags have done well, how? What was the next highest bid for him (to quote the dippers chairman), how much was anyone else offering? They've thrown a shitload of money for a player in a position they have plenty of options for, he'll stiffle Rashford. Lingard or Martial and cause them untold problems when players contracts are up for renewal, see De Gea asking for similar now and then everyone else will follow. Woodward and Mourinho have just fucked up the club for the foreseeable imo.

HAHAHA

All my utd mates say we only have money because our owners own all the oil. I’m also told the oil is running out so we are going to be fooked soon.

Is this not true ?

The oil won’t run out but demand will as the push is towards electric vehicles. But your talking 10-20 years.
However, our owners employ only the most intelligent business people who have already invested heavily in other successful industries.

Clown.
If fergie left the club in a mess what the hell is maureen going to leave behind. His contract extension is his way of getting more money on transfers nothing more and he will never see out his term.

They may get short term success with Sanchez but they need more than him plus all teams in top 6 are rapidly going to invest especially us with youth. I can see them going for bale and Ronaldo in the summer.

Utd will have serious issues within 3 years just when our youngsters are coming into their prime. Pep is so vital to city and he’s the the one I would throw the cash at to stay.

I see the whole football outlook changing as this money can not be maintained.

Good times to be a blue but of course only whilst the oil is still around.

Rag.

Adrian Durham on talkSPORT will be all over this quote at 4pm today. Should be worth a listen.
He thinks Wenger is a joke and always slagging him off

Wenger has some strange ideas on the game and how it should be financed etc.

He wasn't around when the likes of City in the first division had to do conduct chook raffles to pay wages but he was when the likes of Bernstein had to use his own mortgages to find ways of keeping the club aloft.

The Glazers are no different to Roman or our group than in the way Kronke operates albeit in different avenues but the same street as they say.

I would have thought that as a manager who had managed clubs in counties like France and Japan he above all would know that what a group decide to do with their money provided its legal is their call.

His excuse when push comes to shove is that Man City , Chelsea and Man Utd can afford to buy players they want but cannot be they cannot compete on a level playing field (LOL).

He is either talking shit then if quoting correctly or shit above when he contradicts himself or shit both times.

I think its shit both times.

You'd have more than a football club to worry about if the oil dried out.

I'm sure they will, and at this rate,we aren't going to be getting any shiny new toys,to add to the great ones we already have, bit of a shame wouldn't you agree ?

There must be a teeny weeny bit of you that is a bit disappointed we not going to get Sanchez...... ?
I started to consider it when Jesus got injured because Aguero is struggling and can't play every game, and I don't see anyone in the market. However, now Jesus is fit, I am happy we are not signing him. I rate Sanchez's technical ability. I think he will do a decent job in midfield for Utd, but I don't see him as a top forward any more.

Anyone who buys him is stuck with him for years, and he will become a footballing liability. Like Rooney was at Man Utd. He was class, but his legs have gone.

I am happy that Utd are spending so heavily on him. The only way they catch City is through the transfer market and they can outspend us. if they ear mark massive resources for this deal, it means that their ability to compete with us in the future for forward players is compromised.

That's saved, to be brought out at the appropriate time.

If Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang sign, I think Arsenal fans will be happy.

They will. They were already happy with just Lacazette.
A swapdeal between Sanchez and Mkhitaryan will suit both set of fans short term. And it will put the names of both clubs where they can state they can obviously challenge us in the transfer market. And if that is where the challenge comes from I’m fine with that.

Sanchez is a great player and I expect Pep to be able to improve him. I very much doubt if he does under Mourinho.

If oil ran out tomorrow our owners wouldn't blink an eyelid.

BTW They don't and it isn't but what is happening is that our energy needs of the future need more diversification so a few more Texans are wearing different types of hats (LOL).

Come on think about it. United would have done well if they had managed to get Sanchez offering the same package as say ourselves for example. However they didnt, they have apparently doubled his wage, agreed to pay the £10m or £15m agent fee or whatever it is, thrown in a player to boot as well.

No, I think sanchez made some sense last Summer, and it made some sense as a cover for injuries. Long term it makes no sense for any football club looking to win the title which is why none of the top football clubs are in for him even though he is available on a free. Real madrid, barcelona, Bayern, Juve, City, chelsea. All the usual suspects are not interested. And those clowns go and make him one of the highest paid players in world football.
