lol,are you one of them?

No, I’m someone that can quite enjoy being top of the league without whinging on the Internet about another club signing a player.

Their transfer dealings, wage bill and any other financial detail is completely irrelevant to us, just like their on field performance if we carry on as we are.

Sanchez will be nearly 40 when Sane, Sterling and Jesus hit their peak years. That should be the only thing that matters to us with regards to this particular transfer.

Very wise, I couldn't agree more with your personal perspective on being a City fan.

However, if everyone thought like you, this thread would only run to 3 pages at best.

Which might not be the worst thing in the world.....though with the benefit of hindsight.

It's clearly better to travel than to arrive...

Are you looking forward to your new signing ?

I hope so

I actually see him as a replacement for Walcott not Sanchez

If we can land PEA then I'd feel we replaced the loss of Walcott and Sanchez.

But how they fit into the side and how they perform is always a bit of a risk.

The red side of Manchester will likely be crowing about Sanchez. Great player but will he do the business? Probably, but it's a lot of money to gamble on a risk of say 15% he might not do so well.

As for Mkhitaryan, if there is one saving grace for him, it's at least the thought that at Arsenal he won't be expected to continuously supply chances to a striker who needs 39 first touches and 19 attempts before he scores. He'll also enjoy not having Mourinho screaming in his ear to DEFEND.

Bottom line, glad to see the back of Sanchez.

I guess my issue with this whole thing is that some blues are claiming this is some kind of victory for us, when it's simply not. In footballing terms this makes united stronger if it comes off, maybe in the future it impacts them, but then again as I have mentioned before on this thread transfers and wages should never be seen in isolation and whatever the final figure is you can bet anyone at a major club moving forward will be using it as the basis as their high end and while people have said in 2 or 3 years time when he is declining united will be fucked...........possibly but I will make this claim when his contract is over there will be a number of players in the league earning more than that chances are one of the clubs paying that will be City.
A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. In that respect Sanchez was worth to us what we offered, however there is the caveat of the effect it would have on our squad when they learn that all of them were equal, but Sanchez was more equal than the rest.

I know the Rag fans will see it as sour grapes from us, but as I explained to one of the fuckers this week, just imagine if his fiancee came to him & said some bloke had offered her £10k a month to become his wife. What would he think if she said, 'If you can match his offer, I'll commit to you'?

I haven't had a response from the knob up to now. We made our offer to Sanchez & he accepted it, only to return & tell us someone was willing to offer significantly more, so unless we were willing to match it, he was gonna accept their offer.

For me Sanchez can go fuck himself. I suppose you can say don't cut off your face to spite your face, but then again a man without principle is no man at all. We've taken our stance & I couldn't be more proud of our club for doing so.

Now all of the media briefings about not wanting to effect our squad's unity make perfect sense. It wasn't about players being fearful of losing their place to Sanchez, it was about Sanchez wanting double of what our top earners are getting before he signed.

Well done Manchester City Football Club for standing by our principles & telling the stumpy twat to go fuck himself!

Excellent way to close this thread.

PS go fuck yourself Sanchez.

Imagine you're de Bruyne. You've got a contract offer on the table. You've been the best player in the country by some distance. You've inspired your club. You're approaching your peak as a player.

Then some truculent stroppy twit pushing 30 suddenly demands and gets double the salary you've been offered.

What would you think?

Rinse and repeat for Jesus, Sterling, silva etc.

Sanchez is a fine player and would improve us. But there are 30 players in Europe who we might sign who could justifiably say 'hold on, you're paying him £500 a week. I'm as a good as him.'

The only players you can get away with paying insane wages to without the certainty of upsetting the apple cart are Messi and Neymar. Cos no one can say 'I'm better than them'.
+1

Aguero, Sterling, Sané, G.Jesus, D.Silva ... I do not think Alexis can play regularly, that will have influenced the decision besides the money.

We do not need him.
He was just a whim for us.
