The price is going down quicker than Katie Price's knickers.

The source was ESPN to be fair, so it's unlikely to be that low.

If Coutinho was £140m, then I'd say anything below £90m represents decent value for money. Not much difference between them in age, impact, statistics etc.

£55m plus add ons seems fair.

Can we not send King Power a few million cartons of fags to sell to make up the difference

Is it just me or does this transfer saga has the same traits as the sanchez debacle (by arses, not us) in the summer?
I don't like the sound of Leicester suddenly going on about finding a replacement in the next nine hours or whatever. Medicals and everything would need to be done.

Has Aubemayang(sp)@ £55m not just put a little perspective on transfers? I like Mahrez, but think Aubemayang should be a decent yard stick.

Is £65m is genuinely the asking price (and tbh, it's probably just speculation) then i'd be surprised if we were unwilling to pay it. It's an eye watering amount but compared to other transfers it's not that crazy. If we were never willing to offer that then it's kind of bad form in my opinion to stir up trouble on Leicester's side of things without being willing to pay a price which is probably on the low(ish) side of hat they could of asked for at this stage of the window and in the knowledge we have injuries.

Leicester City are demanding £65 million for Manchester City target Riyad Mahrez and are looking at possible replacements if their asking price is met, sources have told ESPN FC.

Think it will happen if we are so close.

Leicester should target Quincy Promes. He's available for £35m according to reports. Quick flight from Spain. This really all needs to be agreed in the next hour if there is going to be time left for Leicester to replace him.
