Sunderland in the Championship 2017/2018

So, we are odds on to get a second relegation in a row, I honestly can't see how it can be stopped.

On getting home tonight, I inform my lads (13 & 8), I've got tickets in the away end v Bolton (20th Feb) at the Macron.
They are hyper, already discussing which Sunderland top they will wear etc.....imagine if we score in the last minute to win? It'll be class, Sunderland fans are crazy? Etc etc. It's the excitement I used to feel when my dad told me we were going to Roker Park...it doesn't go away.
My mate and his kid (blues fans) are also attending for the first time with us (well why would they watch us haha?)

Poor buggers, wish the team was better for them, although I can't help but have a tinge of pride that they are still loyal to an apocalyptic cause.... especially as the eldest was 1 when we moved away, and the youngest was born in Stockport....

Come on team....give the lads, and I, a little bit of hope to hang on to.... in the meantime lads....keep hoping and dreaming for that miracle on the 20th Feb :-)

Character building mate, worth it in the long run. Look at us in the 90's, who'd have thought then we'd be where we are now? Could be worse, you could be Newcastle or even rag fans!!

May 1998: City relegated to 3rd Tier.
May 1999: "it's Dickov again...can you believe it?"
May 2011: FA Cup Win.
May 2012: Premier League champions.

Wouldn't it be nice if you got a parallel run?

Hope your kids enjoy the day and Coleman somehow manages to turn it around, I had a good drink with some of your fans after the league cup final near Wembley and they were all sound.

Viagra couldn't keep us up mate.

Back to level 3, where we were when Laurie Mcmenemy took us down in '87.
And we will rebuild again.

Cheers for all the comments blues :-)

Bournemouth might be a better example.
2008/09 won last game to stay in the football league.
Administration and points deductions follow. Eddie Howe manages and leaves for Burnley whilst Lee Bradbury takes over.
October 2012/13, still in league 2 and near the foot of the table, Eddie Howe comes back. Not only does he save them from relegation he gets them promoted as well.
2014/15 promoted to the PL.
If Bournemouth can do it, I’m sure Sunderland can.

I think I’m right in saying that Kevin Horlock was with City for six seasons and was either promoted or relegated in five of them.

That’s what you call a rollercoaster!
