The answer is simple.
Nothing will happen until you or your inheritors try to sell the house.
That will be impossible without retrospective permission from the owner of the lease.
They will charge you anything they feel like then.
Been there done it.
Oh and this situation is nothing to do with the other scandal being acted on.
