Is it time to get a big target man?

I can't see anyone being happy to hang around on the sub's bench for most of the season.
And I can already hear fans' comments when it's the 80th minute, we bring on someone like Llorente, and he doesn't score a header from a corner in the 90th minute.
Have we not learnt from Bony? Why not, you know, just continue the approach that has allowed us to totally dominate the league in a record breaking fashion this season?

Bony was an expensive mistake but he was bought in as another option (not necessarily an improvement/upgrade) as both Dzeko and Jovetic were not fully reliable.

What’s Negredo up to these days?, providing whatatever personal problems were really responsible for him leaving the club are now sorted, he could prove to be a very decent back up option indeed

Beast of a player wasn't he? Could play on the floor too .

Had a purple patch with us but he tailed off towards the end of that first season and has never reproduced the form he showed with us since. We really got the best out of him.

If we are to get another striker would be very interested in Timo Werner. The speed of our front line of Sane Werner and Sterling would be a thing to behold.

Yes a a big target man.

Preferably one that is immobile, slow and cannot defend from the front.

I am sure it is priority for pep and he will be scouring you tube to identify the right big fellah.

I've been pushing for this for months now. I want that front 3 as an option :)

Does he fit the topic criteria?
Absolutely. The thread is a question about whether we should get a big target man. To which one could answer 'yes' or 'no'.

In answering 'No' and suggesting 'Werner' and the value he'd provide in contrast to a tall lump up front, is absolutely within the bounds of the topic of discussion.
