United (H) Post Match Thread

You're missing the point, winning that game today and going into Tuesday with the title in the bag, gives the players a huge lift and guarantees the stadium would have been rocking. I'm sure most fellow blues are now feeling gutted and Tuesday just doesn't seem worth the missed opportunity.
You're quite right, winning today might have been a big boost. But he got it right - we should have had the game in the bag at half-time. That we didn't, really wasnt his fault.
Personally, I was afraid of the opposite: that if we won the title today, the team wouldn't be focused enough on Tuesday...

My football philosophy is ‘Never think like tommo74’
Come on, tell us your coaching badges? Seen as though you know best, tell us your football triumphs? I have played at old Trafford, Maine Road, Moss Rose, please tell me how you are so qualified?

I thought with Kompany back in defence he would steady things at the back but lately when we lose a goal we fall apart. L'pool in Prem' & CL and today, t
hat's the third time we have collapsed and conceded 3 goal in quick order. Clearly something not right.

I go back 10 years and we would beat that lot in a one off game and then they would rub trophy after trophy in our face. Roles have now reversed, that was their cup final, in another season they’ll win nothing and we’ll be champions.

Right now this week hurts, with some perspective it just shows show the tides have turned.

On the way home totally shellshocked. The first half we were so in control and the rags so bad I couldn't believe it. Sterling scores one of his chances and I am sure that would have been that. To not even hit the target on the one on one was unforgivable. They were chasing shadows and never laid a glove on us.

Second half?? They obviously got a rollicking as the roles were reversed. For 20 minutes they battered us. Pogba and Sanchez suddenly looked world class. Our capitulation when put under pressure is worrying. Heads go down too easily and to concede two identical goals at the far post was criminal. Ederson, does he ever look like saving any?? Danilo? Shambles I was worried every time the ball went near him.

Atkinson...... what a complete and utter cock!

Can we please stop singing that we're going to win the league song?! I never liked it and it cursed the dippers now It is doing the same to us.

I am going home, closing all curtains and hibernating!

You've nailed it, he doesn't get it. And he's right but to get it. He's here to win trophies with a great team of world class players, not to repair the fans' psychological scars and hang ups.
If i ever get appointed manager or say... ipswich.. I make it my business to realise how important to the fans it is to beat Norwich.. it’s arrogant and inconsiderate to the fans not to

Did Pep ever rest players at Barca against Madrid?

What has resting players got to do with anything?

We were utterly dominant in that first half. The players who played were fantastic.

The issue was the mentality in the second half. One team was up for it and the other was up their own arses getting ready to celebrate.

Otamendi was an utter shambles. Danilo took a wallop on the hip and needed to come off but said he was fine, only to disappear from the game immediately, and Gundogan and Bernardo did what they do when we need character.

But resting players had nothing to do with it.

To paraphrase Oscar Wilde: "“To lose one Pogba Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.”

didn't look like scoring ??? de gea save off aguero and the sterling shot that bobbled onto the post

The save was routine. Point was, we wasn't bombarding their goal, app,Hong pressure and pushing for an ewualiser, the looked just as likely to get another i thought, we played our usual game and United were rather comfortable sitting behind the sideways ball just as Liverpool was. We've not had the Intensity in our game for a while now, we've just not needed to and in the moments this week when we have needed it we can't up our game and find jt

With the money, players and Guardiola this should’ve be beyond your imagination.. when you spend a billion quid you need to be thinking higher. Also the rags are garbage how can you concede 3 to them in 45 minutes at home??

Have you paid for your City Bullshit Bingo card yet?

I think CL is very important now even if we go out. Will say a lot about the team even the way of going out.

If we beat Pool 2-0 or 3-1 or 4-1 and go out that is ok. Lost 3-0 this week but if we turn up and win 4-1 just missing out on away goal to me much easier to accept overall than if we lose again at home or we just play 2-2 or 3-3 that is dogshit imo.

Especially after this derby loss today.
