United (H) Post Match Thread

We needed 1 win from 7 this afternoon.

Now we need 2 wins from 6.

After next weekend, I predict we'll need 2 wins from 5. I cannot see us winning at Spurs without Fernandino and going there with morale where it will inevitably be having lost the derby and having been dumped out of the CL.

If god forbid the unthinkable were to happen and we lost away at West Ham, we'll need 2 from 4 and will have probably just lost 5 games on the bounce.

This is not yet a crisis, but it could turn into one quite quickly.
Correct-so glad you're being honest on here because we need that. Let's see what happens Tuesday . Hopefully we will at least get a win -any win .That might sound sarcastic but it's not. A win means we at least get something good out of the game even if we don't go through - anything that boosts the confidence because quite clearly we are playing on thin air right now. A win means we are back on track .

Maybe he didn't have a key champions league game a few days after. Or maybe he did rest players, I don't know. But surely you can accept there is valid reasons for resting one or two players (whether you agree with the reasons or not).

I do if it was against an easy side and there wasn't a once in a lifetime opportunity to win the Premier League against our biggest rivals.

What a load of shit.

Everyone has been rubbish and inconsistent. Pretty much a fact.

The the fact this United are pretty clear in 2nd proves the league this year is a joke.

The quality outside the top 6 has been disgraceful.

I've always thought that if you stuck yer arm out and played the ball with an outstretched arm it was a pen. Jeez, even the Media City arm of the RDAHMeedya said it was a pen!

The handball has to be deliberate and their is a proviso that if the arm is in an unnatural position that can be classed as( such as making your arms wide anticipating a cross)

Slipping over and trying to head the ball but missing and it hitting your outstretched arm is a bloody huge grey area unless you can prove young slipped and in that fraction of a second he thought I will stretch my arm out just in case I miss it with my head.

Is an outstretched arm natural when you slip? That is the only question

I completely agree I think this is what we need to take us up to that level. Imagine is messi had the sterling chances we’d have been 6-0 up at half time.. I guess neymar is the closest thing

Aw, it would be embarrassing for a lot of teams in this league if we had Messi man. United would have definitely been out of sight. Neymar is a no go so I just hope one of the young lads step up or we will have to splash a lot of cash to get someone in who can be relied upon in high leverage moments.

P.s Messi Hat-Trick

Not seen not other team have 4 leg breakers

ref mistakes are part of the vast majority of games...

every time we lose we get the same arguments- its the ref's fault....yes he made mistakes today but to say its sole down that stops us learning from the mistakes we made....Pep said as much in his post math presser...refused to blame the ref, said we weren't good enough in the boxes....what he wont say is that it was partly his team selection that led to that.

The only thing I thought Pep did wrong was in not making the changes at half time. It was obviously a tired side, and by the time the changes were made, the game was gone

I expected he would bring on one of Jesus or Aguero, and possibly KDB for Silva.

As it is we are absolutely miles ahead of Utd, and that showed today. Overall, we should be very happy with where we're heading as a football club

Let's get this title won and then enjoy the Summer and make next season even better. After Liverpool, I just really want this season to end now.

Except its not.

In the eyes of a spit and saw dust blue, the league will always take priority.

You need to have a look at the dynamic of the football club today.

They'll tell you the champions league is number 3. It's not. It's number 1.

That is clear in the current attitude and there will always be a disconnect given that.

However, we will win the champions league under his tenure and all this noise will go away.

Well let’s hope we do. Because for me half our fans don’t give a fuck about the CL and don’t turn up for those games. Tuesday will be full of tourists. Today was full of people who have been going for 40 years plus and we fucked it up on our big day in the eyes of many!

Nice one Kyle, true enough but you may have tweeted yourself into trouble.
Assuming kylewalker115 is our Kyle Walker.

And that is why we have no English referees at the World Cup!!

It’s not the footballer Kyle Walker it’s the actor / presenter who does some work for City

I saw it live then once in slow motion. I could analyse it to death but both times I said no pen, sorry

clear penalty.....probably red card, certainly a yellow..... he doesn't even touch the ball with his foot as aguero has already chopped it being his tackle

There were two penalties - one in each half. Blatant handball right under our and the lino's noses. And Aguero cleaned out and left for dead in their area in the second half.

That game should have been won by HT and by a record first half score since derbies ever began. But apart from our comical defending and Raheem's woeful finishing, the Time Lord reffed this game the way I fancy he has never reffed a game all season, and will not replicate it in any game win which he officiates the rest of this season. it had to be seen to be believed. I was left totally incredulous by some of the free kicks that he was awarding MANUre. Sterling got rugby tackled early on in the first half, nothing given. He then, a minute or two later, dribbles round three of them and Atkinson blows for a fictitious foul. And that was the pattern for the whole of the second half. Every contact, whether we won the ball, and came away with it, was sanctioned a foul. I was left wondering whether someone at PL HQ had deemed that the title should not be won so soon before the season finishes. It was inept reffing, it was bias, masquerading as blinkered!

I love this, some sense at last! A lot of the posts in here are obviously by rags, f*ck off back to RagCaf.
