United (H) Post Match Thread

It wasn’t even as low down as his ankle!! Everything about that 2nd half is pissing me off.

Aguero should score that header as should Sterling a few minutes later ffs.

You're right, closer to his knee.

If we weren't so far in front I'd probably be more pissed off with the team. As it is, I find it hard to begrudge them a few bad games.

We aren't getting the decision back, but I bet a penalty is awarded on some ground somewhere before this season ends, if a dozen haven't been given already for similar incidents! It was never gonna be given by the ref today. I just wonder what would have to happen for Atkinson to award City a pen.

We can bemoan decisions all day long but it doesn’t explain our defending. Wednesday and today both hideous as soon as the pressure builds.

I've just got home from the match today and I've skipped a lot of this thread but I've just got to get this off my chest;
Pep is a genius, no doubt about and some of the football this season has been amazing but...

He needs to be educated by someone about what it really means to be City, he just doesn't get it. Always understating our status and history and always playing politic with the media when speaking about our rival clubs. Way too much respect shown.

Today, I can accept the team missing chances and the shit refereeing but fundamentally why go into that game with a weak side. It wouldn't have happened at Barca vs Real...

A game and opportunity like today is not about Pep, and its not about the players... its about us the fans and he (and the players) badly let us down.

Maybe we are just a stopping point on his career journey? Is this why the Bayern fans never really fully embraced him, did he not fully understand Bayern?

I'm glad he's our manager and love the football but I've got a feeling he's not actually one of us at all... and maybe he never will be anything other than Barca.

We've been fantastic this season. If you can't see that, you need help.

We have but lost the two biggest games this season when it really mattered.

Luckily for us we did well for most of the season that we get to have more chances than just today.

A really dominant season is looking like its limping over the line.

Can see were gravvo is coming from , Young did play the ball but his follow through was dangerous play and a penalty and certain yellow card possibly red , the old days of winning th ball and taking everbody and everything with it have long gone.

Didn't get enough of the ball for me. Probably shouldn't matter but to me it does.

I'm definitely of the generation where that kind of tackle shouldn't be allowed.

Naive manager . Great when things going his way. Can he change things around in the Chmpions League , i'll show my arse on the town hall steps. Mancini would have beaten Utd and Liverpool . Simon would have done both and win the Champions League. Pep will never win the CL for us

I agree wholeheartedly and have several times said I would have given it. I only said it wasn’t blatant and according to the laws/rules it’s a grey area

The more I think about it the more pissed off I'm getting.

0ne of the biggest weeks since the takeover and our manager has had a fucking mare. He's changed the shape and failed to rectify it at Liverpool and again today he dropped a bollock by not altering it when it was clear Unites were on top second half.

Also the players are mentally weak. Hence why they've shrunk today and on Wednesday. They don't like having questions asked and the lack of on pitch leadership was there for all to see.

Also the fans second half completely let the lads down. There were shit loads of empty seats in the south stand as people couldn't be arsed finishing their pint before the second half started.

Its all well and good sticking to your principles like pep does when you have 2 prolific scores like messi and lewandoski to score goals. We dont have that (as good as kun is he does not score at the same rate that messi does) so sometimes he should cut his cloth accordingly.

Aye, Roberto wouldn't have lost today!

I'd take the league win at the end of the season over winning a one-off derby match. Even though it would've been sweet. Still think we're in the game on Tuesday, although I'm probably in the minority now.

Specifically on the events of this week...

We need someone who can physically dominate the midfield, we need an extra forward who can hold the ball up...

And finally, much as I love the guy, Vinny has to be 4th choice CH next season.

He's our manager, not a supporter.

It's nice to have a connection, we had it with Mancini, but that was a rare occurrence.
