First result was down to tactical blunders from pep (Gundo on the wing, Laporte as a full back)

Second result was down to Sterling failing to convert and Pep not making the changes quickly.

Third result was down to a couple of factors - UEFA's corruption, Vinny not playing, Jesus impersonating a headless chicken, Pep losing his head and getting sent off which in turn led to the players losing hope.

If Pep plays to our full strength tomorrow, no tinkering, no over thinking things through, a solid back 4 , 1 cm, 1 dm , 3 attacking midfielders and kun upfront we should get this done and dusted, no more 3 at the back experiment, a new approach is always appreciated but not at this time of the season.
First game-complete horror show by the entire team, lucky it wasn't worse.
Second game-superb 1st half, criminal defending by us 2nd half and yes Sterling missed sitters.
Third game-great tempo throughout little bit unlucky but overall not good enough.
Thought the next game was Saturday, not tomorrow LOL.

Nothing in our legs and Fernandinho suspended. Spurs basically needing a win to guarantee top four.

Wembley is not the ideal pitch to be playing on this weekend.

I always wanted us to go full tilt against United as just though the Spurs game would be one game too much.

Even a draw would mean we can achieve 100 points?

Lol, thanks for the correction.

Yes draw and 5 wins - 16+84 is 100. Time for 3-5-2?

We are potentially staring at four straight defeats.

We were brilliant in the corresponding game at the Etihad but most of our key players are weary and not as confident as they once were.

Silva, Otamendi and De Bruyne could all do with a rest. But I suspect at least two will feature.

Don't see why we shouldn't beat these. Our bubble burst after their goal last night but before then we were magnificent.

Only caveat - Stones has to come back into the team, which might mean short term pain for long term gain

Spurs know we're wounded and will smell blood. Hopefully they have one eye on fa cup with champsions leauge fairly secure, city seem deflated after a tough 10 days. Would take a point all day and move onto Swansea

Only real concern for me is that I think ultimately we are paying the price now for that 18 game winning run and 20 odd game overall unbeaten run.

A lot of energy physically and pschologically went into that, we barely rotated and as a result it won us the league pretty much.

However now you can see the effects because physically and pschologically I think we are spent.

We only have good halves of football and haven’t scored after the 50 minute mark in a number of our recent fixtures now.

We just need to do what we can and get over the line.

Walker Stones/Vinny Laporte Danilo

Give Otamendi, Silva and Sane a rest. Wary about playing Kompany when he struggled so much recently, would rather throw stones in if fit.

I really cannot see Pep or the players settling for a fourth defeat in 10 days that would be turned against us by so many people in the media desperate to create a 'title race'.

I expect Pep has never lost 4 games on the run and he is a perfectionist.

Yes, the players look mentally and physically shot, but even if they only have one good half in them they also know win this and they could be champions before they play again (united only have to draw both games or lose one of them for that).

Either way they will WANT to celebrate it or win it at home, which probably would not happen if they lose Saturday.

You can always motivate yourself for a cup final. Which this might sort of be if it is the game that wins the title and being at Wembley helps make it feel like that.

Get it done and they have a month to rest. Drag it on and their preparation and relax before the World Cup is reduced by at least a couple of weeks as once won the team will be heavily rotated (why the record points thing likely will not happen).

Plus we have had such horrible luck and no rub of the green for three successive games that something has to go right for once.

3-0 at half time, we ease off Spurs score and we win 3-1.

Some thoughts :
Put Laporte into Fern's position - Gundogan is better in attack than in defense and can come on in 2nd half to pack midfield . Laporte could do Fern's job i think.
Bring in Stones provided he is not injured
Sterling can replace Bernie who also can come on 2nd half as legs tire. Aguero will love the space of Wembley.
Need to curtail Eriksen if possible in this game.
KDB has not been himself of late. Far too deep maybe:-s

Laporte not really got the legs for holding mid maybe Delph could do a job in there but would prefer Gundogan as he's played the role this season and is better on the ball.

Gundogan will play there unless David or Kev aren't fit

Our players looked dead on their feet second half against the dippers. The season has caught up to us and I think Spuds will take advantage of that.
