What's the betting that a fair few of them will be "jibbing in" tonight? No safety implications, obviously. Anything bad happens, it will be the fault of the Italians for not having a ground made of elastic.

If Liverpool don't get through this tie it will be the biggest collapse in my living memory, worse than PSG at Barcelona for 2 reasons. 1 Roma aren't that good, 2 the referee will be pro dippers.

It would be just typical if they won the CL and usurped our amazing Premier League season! That said it is brave man that will back against Real with their final know-how and Klopp's cup final paralysis.
Usurp our Premier League season? Like Chelsea in 2012? Grow a fucking pair.

Where can you go to avoid the media shit today!!! Radio 5 is full of the build up to a massive CL semi final... don’t remember this when we played Madrid. There are a few comedy moments though.. currently interviewing the obligatory Norwegian fan, and one **** earlier saying Rome Is a wonderful historic city just like Liverpool!!!

We got virtually zero coverage when we took 5000 to Madrid for the semi and Chelsea got less coverage from the BBC when they won it. Mind you the BBC has generally become a bit of a laughing stock. I have been on a long car journey today and the sycophantic reports about the Liverpool fans in Rome have been shocking.
The BBC even tried to link LFC fans with the weekly Papal audience. There is just no journalistic challenge to anything. Match-going fans from all clubs know full well that a section of the LFC fanbase are thugs but this is never reflected by the BBC.
The print media is still claiming that the fan with a hammer at Anfield was a rival Italian Ultra but the video on youtube shows clearly he was a Liverpool fan in a group chasing back at the Ultras with belts. It is just fake news.

The difference being that was Chelsea and this is Liverpool. The media virtually ignored that Chelsea CL triumph, partly because the way they won it was so dour. Technically they won't have usurped our title win, after all everyone knows winning a title is more difficult and winning it the way we have won it is truly immense but you won't hear a fucking dickie bird about our record breaking season again in the UK media if Liverpool win their cup.

As much as I can't stand the Scousers, UEFA need to get to grips with the Italian authorities and this whole Ultras bollocks.

It really isn't acceptable in this day and age for people visiting the capital city of a European country to have to be ferried about in buses for their own safety and to be forcibly kept in a stadium for up to 2.5 hours after a game has finished.

It wouldn't be allowed in any other other walk of life, but football supporters continue to be treated like shit in too many of these places and it's about time that UEFA did something about it.

That said, I hope Roma batter the dipping bastards on the pitch tonight.

The media have ignored most of Chelsea's success for the same reason they don't give us full credit. They regard Chelsea and City as "new money" clubs which are not part of the established corrupt cartel. A lot of it is driven by subtle racism. Both us and Chelsea have the "wrong sort of foreign owners."
I am not sure this will ever change. Even this season most of the sports media couldn't wait to get on the "City are not great yet" narrative. It was the same in 2014 when we scored the highest number of goals in football history (156 in all competitions) and the papers carried on sticking the boot into Pellegrini.
On a positive note I believe that being outside the football establishment helps to give us a competitive edge. We will never be fully accepted.

BBC News channel has effectively become LFCTV for the day. Not just the sports news section but the actual proper news. I am literally going to have to not watch the news for months if these ****s win the CL. Out of interest what was the coverage like when we were over in Madrid for the semi a couple of years ago? Was it blanket coverage across BBC News or just the regulation mention in the sports news bulletin?

According to BBC’s sports bulletin last Tuesday morning, an English club hasn’t been in a CL semifinal for about six years, so there was obviously no coverage at all two years ago.
