A true great and we will miss him , will be strange not seeing the number 42 marauding around the pitch in a blue shirt , thanks for everything Yaya you helped take our club to a different level. Thought our support tonight was exemplary and a credit to the club and Yaya. CTID

Gutted they took you off and that you didn't manage to stay on the full 90 mins & within 2 mins of you coming off we get a free kick just outside box.............which was pitch perfect for you BUT it wasn't to be.

Thank you for the wonderful on pitch memories.
The substitution was always going to happen. Gave the crowd a chance to give the big man his own ovation, rather than the shared one for the team at the final whistle.

Think it's all been said all I can add is thank you for the part you played in making our club what it is today love ya Big man

Catalyst at the start of the new revolution - when Vinnie ran through the important goals he scored in crucial games it just reinforces the impact the guy had - forget the press tittle tattle over cakes Yaya has been immense and there's a wee tear in the eye tonight as we all say thanks big fella and good luck -Yaya a City great.

Says it all when the Yaya song was sang all over the place I don't think it will sink in for a number of years how important his contribution was

I feel privileged to have watched Yaya play at his peak live on a weekly basis. Possibly the best player I’ve ever seen play for City.

Thank you Yaya , after all those years of despair, you made all those wonderful memories . Now after all your fine work , we can sit back and enjoy all the fabulous football .

Honourable Discharge
Stand down Yaya your work is complete.
Thanks for the memories it's been our pleasure

He has made a massive contribution to MCFC over the last half dozen odd seasons - great goals, and great presence on the pitch. He has probably put the fear o' Jesus up more opposition players than most in the PL. Hope the rest of his time on the planet is filled with joy!

I was privileged to be at the Etihad tonight to see a Premier league legend end his career.
Who knows how much longer it may have taken you to achieve what you have, but for that goal against the rags in the semi final... shame his legs are starting to go, or is it the speed the rest of team play at is too fast.....leaving at the right time

Take a bow Yaya

Just got in. Fantastic game and send off, just wish he’d stayed on 5 mins later for that free kick, very very happy with everybody that stayed

I will cherish all of the great moments Yaya gave us.

This is just one of them:
